EDD claim still not processed after weeks - need advice!

Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated. It's been weeks and I still haven't received my unemployment claim. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information about what's going on with my claim?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but it's the only way I finally got answers.

I've been trying to call for days but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take you to finally reach someone?

It took me about a week of constant calling. I'd start dialing right when they opened and just kept hitting redial. It's a pain, but persistence pays off eventually.

Pro tip: try calling right before they close. Sometimes the queue is shorter then. Good luck!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Is it legit?

20 bucks? Thats kinda steep for something that should be free. The system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me days of frustration. Worth every penny IMO. The time I saved not being on hold was worth way more than $20 to me.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's info there about why your claim might be delayed. Could be missing docs or identity verification issues.

Here's what worked for me to get my claim processed faster: 1. Double-check all your documents are uploaded correctly 2. Make sure your identity is verified (use ID.me if required) 3. If you have any pending questions, answer them ASAP 4. Contact your local state representative's office - they can sometimes expedite claims 5. Be persistent with calling - early morning or late afternoon tend to have shorter wait times 6. Check your spam folder regularly for any communications 7. If all else fails, consider filing an appeal Hang in there, OP. The system is overwhelmed, but you'll get through eventually!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my state rep, hadn't thought of that.

Anyone else notice that claims filed on certain days of the week seem to process faster? I swear filing on a Tuesday made a difference for me.

Interesting theory. I filed on a Thursday and it took forever. Maybe you're onto something 🤔
