Has anyone with CREDITUNION ddd date 3-15 received their refund yet?
Hey everyone, I'm checking to see if any CREDITUNION customers with direct deposit date of 3-15 have gotten their refunds already? My WMR says it should hit my account on that day but I know sometimes banks release early. I've been refreshing my account all day hoping to see something! Anyone else in the same situation or already received their money? This wait is killing me...

I bank with CREDITUNION and my DDD is also 3-15. Nothing in my account yet. From past experience, they usually deposit 1-2 days before the scheduled date. Last year my refund came a day early. I'd expect to see it tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. The IRS releases the funds in batches, so some people might get them earlier than others even with the same bank and DDD.

•Thanks for the info! I was hoping they'd deposit it today since I've heard some other banks do it up to 5 days early. Hoping for tomorrow then!

•Depends on which branch you go to, I'm with the west side CREDITUNION and they always release 2 days early like clockwork.

I was in a similar situation last month. The WMR tool wasn't showing accurate information and I was getting really frustrated trying to figure out what was going on with my refund. I finally used this tool called taxr.ai that explained my transcript and gave me the actual DDD, which was different than what WMR showed. Saved me so much stress from constantly checking my bank account! The tool explained exactly where my refund was in the process and when it would actually hit my account. I use it every week now during tax season to keep track of everything. https://taxr.ai

•Sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? Does it just read your transcript or does it do more?

•It does WAY more than just read your transcript. It analyses all those confusing codes and explains them in simple english. It shows all your tax history in one place and predicts when you'll actually get your money based on their data. You just upload your transcript and it breaks everything down. Seriously a game changer during tax season - I'll never go back to WMR again!

•I was skeptical too but this one actually works! I had a weird situation with my refund getting split for an old debt and taxr explained exactly what happened and how much I'd actually receive. Saved me hours of waiting on hold with the IRS.

After waiting for almost 3 weeks past my DDD with no refund, I was at my wits end trying to reach the IRS. I tried calling over 20 times and couldn't get through. Finally used a calling app called claimyr.com and got connected to an actual human at the IRS within an hour. The agent was able to tell me my refund was held up due to a verification issue and they fixed it on the spot. My money was in my account 3 days later. Definitely worth it to actually talk to someone instead of getting the runaround from automated systems.

•Really? How does that even work? Seems kinda sus that an app can get you through when nobody else can get through 🤔

•It basically calls the IRS repeatedly using their system until it gets through, then it calls you and connects you. Beats me spending all day hitting redial! Best money I ever spent to get my $4000 refund released.

•Those IRS phone lines are a nightmare. I tried calling 15 times yesterday and couldn't get through. Might have to try this...

•Do it! Talking to an actual agent solved my problem in 10 minutes after weeks of stress. They can see things and fix issues that the online tools can't.

I don't bank with CREDITUNION but I have LOCALBANK with DDD of 3-15 too and nothing yet. Last year they deposited 2 days early. The waiting game is brutal, especially when you've got bills to pay!

Just got mine this morning! CREDITUNION member with DDD of 3-15. Check your accounts people, they might be rolling out in batches throughout the day.

•WHAT?? Just checked and still nothing for me 😠What time did yours hit your account?

•Around 10:30am EST. I have the premium checking account tho, not sure if that makes a difference in how they process deposits.

•I've got premium too and nothing yet. This is so frustrating. Wonder if it has to do with which IRS processing center handled your return.

The IRS and they're deposit dates are so unreliable. My transcripts and WMR showed a DDD of 3/8 and I still haven't got anything. Called the IRS and they just say "allow 5 business days from your deposit date" which is such BS. the tax system is broken.

•Yup, same thing happened to me last year. DDD passed, no deposit, called IRS and got the 5 days BS. Money finally showed up a week later with no explanation.

•Did you check if your bank rejected the deposit? Sometimes that happens and the IRS has to mail a check instead, which takes way longer.

•nope, bank says they haven't received anything from the irs to reject. IRS says they sent it. classic blame game while I wait for MY money 🙄

FYI - If your refund is over a certain amount (I think $10k) they sometimes send a paper check instead of direct deposit regardless of what your transcript says. Happened to me last year and I was checking my account for weeks before I finally got a check in the mail.

•Mine is only about $3200 so I don't think that's the issue, but good to know! Thanks!

Pro tip: call your bank directly and ask if there are any pending deposits that aren't showing up in your online banking yet. Sometimes they can see incoming ACH transfers before they post to your account. I did this last year and found out my refund was coming the next day.

•This!! 💯 I just called CREDITUNION and they confirmed my refund is scheduled to post tomorrow morning even though it's not showing as pending in my app.

My experience with CREDITUNION has been that they always deposit exactly on the IRS date, never early. I've tried calling and begging them to release it early when I could see it pending but they always say they 'can't' do that. Meanwhile my friend with OTHERBANK got hers 5 days early. Maybe time to switch banks lol

•OTHERBANK customer here and yes, they do release early! Got mine 3 days before the DDD this year. It's one of the main reasons I stay with them despite their annoying fees.

If you filed with a tax preparer and had your fees taken out of your refund, that adds an extra step that can delay things. The refund goes to a third-party bank first, they take out the fees, then send the rest to your bank. That process can add 1-2 days.

I had to decipher my transcript manually to figure out what was happening with my refund this year. Took me hours of research to understand all those codes. Wish I'd known about taxr.ai earlier - just checked it out and it explains everything so clearly. Finally understand why my refund was delayed (had a 570 code that I didn't understand). https://taxr.ai

•those 570 codes are the worrrrrst. had one last year and waited an extra 6 weeks for my refund 😤

•Does taxr explain what to DO about the codes or just what they mean? Like does it tell you how to fix issues?

Carter Holmes
•It tells you what they mean AND what to expect next - like how long delays typically last for each code, what actions you might need to take, etc. Really comprehensive.

Check the IRS2Go app instead of the website. Sometimes it updates faster. Mine showed "sent" on the app a day before the website updated.

Last year my CREDITUNION refund came at exactly 12:01am on the DDD. Literally stayed up just to see it and BOOM there it was right after midnight. Might be worth checking first thing tomorrow morning!

DUDE this waiting game is brutal. I'm with a different credit union but DDD was supposed to be 3/12 and still nothing. Called IRS but wait time was over 2 hours so I hung up. Tried that claimyr.com service someone mentioned in another thread and got through in 40min. Turns out there's a random review flag on my account that's holding things up but the agent removed it while I was on the phone. Said my deposit should process in the next 48hrs now. Talking to a real person makes all the difference.

•how much did you pay for that service? worth it?

•Worth every penny when you're waiting on thousands of dollars that you need. I was about to miss a mortgage payment waiting for this refund, so getting it unstuck was a huge relief.

The whole system is garbage. Why does the IRS give a DDD if the banks don't have to adhere to it? And why does the IRS website only update once a day but the automated phone system sometimes has different info? And why can some banks release early but others hold the money? IT'S OUR MONEY AND WE NEED IT NOW! 🤬

•The banks that release early are actually fronting you the money before they get it from the IRS. They're taking a small risk that the deposit will actually come through as expected.

•This is why I used taxr.ai this year - the IRS tools are so confusing and unreliable. The tool showed me the ACTUAL status of my refund by reading my transcript, not just the dumbed-down version the WMR tool shows.

Has anyone else noticed that the WMR tool and your transcript sometimes show different dates? My WMR says 3/15 but my transcript code 846 says 3/16. Not sure which one to believe...

•ALWAYS trust the transcript over WMR. The transcript is the actual IRS record, WMR is just a simplified tool that isn't always accurate.

•I had this last year. Transcript was right, WMR was wrong.

Just an FYI if you got an advance on your refund or used a tax service that takes their fee from your refund, it might delay the deposit by a day or two. Those refunds go through a third party first before reaching your bank.

My BFF works at CREDITUNION (not telling which branch lol) and she told me they do processing runs at 2am, 11am, and 4pm. So if you don't see it in the morning, check again after those times.

Anyone know if offset refunds follow the same DDD schedule? I have child support arrears and know I'm only getting a portion of my refund after the offset. Just wondering if that process takes longer.

Max Knight
•I had an offset last year and it actually came ON the DDD, not early like previous years. I think the offset process adds a step.

•If you want to know exactly how much you're getting after offsets and when, check out taxr.ai - it breaks down all the deductions and gives you your actual expected amount. Saved me from budgeting for money I wasn't going to get!
