Any March 28 DDD refunds hit Chime accounts yet? Still waiting on mine

A March 28th deposit date should show as cycle code 20231203 or something similar on your transcript with a 846 refund issued code. If you have that code with that date, the money has been sent from the IRS side and it's now on your bank to process it. If you don't see the money by tomorrow, I'd suggest checking your tax transcript to confirm the 846 code is actually there and then contact Chime directly. The IRS is such a mess this year. My sister had a 3/21 date and still hasnt got hers. meanwhile my husband filed a week after me, got approved faster, and already got his money. Makes no sense how they prioritize these refunds.

Just an FYI - Chime and other online banks sometimes reject tax refunds if there's any mismatch in your info. Double check that the name on your Chime account EXACTLY matches what's on your tax return. Even a middle initial difference can cause problems.

I had a March 27 date and got mine on March 29, but I use a credit union not Chime. From what I've read, the IRS sends ACH payments in batches, and sometimes what looks like a delay is just which batch you ended up in. If WMR still shows your DDD as 3/28, I wouldn't worry yet. Give it till Tuesday before panicking.

Did you have fees taken out of ur refund or get an advance? That always causes delays with online banks.

Sounds like your getting ur hopes up to much. 3/28 was only a few days ago and the banks are closed on weekends. if it doesnt show by teuesday then start worrying imo

Your refund will get delayed more if its flagged for ID verification! Happened to my neighbor. Check your transcript to see if theres a 570 code. if so ur gonna have to verify your ID before u get paid

Chime has been weird with deposits lately. i had a regular paycheck delayed by 2 days last week when it's usually early. Might just be high volume season for them.

the deposit date on WMR is when the IRS sends it, not when your bank posts it. could take 1-5 business days after that date depending on your bank. chime is usually faster but not always.

There's defenitly somthing going on with the IRS systme right now. Lot's of people reporting delayed refunds even after getting DDD's. hang tight and hopefully it will come through soon.

Have you checked your actual IRS transcript? The WMR tool is notoriously unreliable. Your transcript will show the exact status with the proper codes. Much more accurate.

Just a heads up that the 3/28 date was just before Easter weekend, so there might be additional delays due to the holiday. Banks don't process on weekends or holidays, so Monday (tomorrow) would be the first business day after your DDD. I'd wait until end of day Tuesday before really worrying.
