DDD of 3/15 with Chime Bank but still no deposit - anyone else waiting?

This happens quite often unfortunately. The IRS doesn't always stick to the exact DDD. A few things could be happening: - Your refund is actually still being processed despite the DDD showing on your transcript - Chime hasn't processed it yet (sometimes they take 1-3 business days even though they advertise early deposits) - There might be an offset or hold you're unaware of I'd recommend checking your tax transcript again to see if there are any new codes that might explain the delay. Also, keep in mind that sometimes banks don't see pending deposits until they're about to post. Give it until the end of this week, and if nothing happens, call the IRS directly to get more info.

Im in the exact same boat but with Current bank. DDD was 3/15, still nothing as of today. Current says they don't see anything coming. Starting to worry my money disappeared into the void 😭

When I was in your situation, I found out my bank account info was off by ONE digit. Double check that the routing and account number on your return matches your actual bank info. It's a simple mistake but can cause huge delays.

Try checking the "Where's My Refund" tool on the IRS website. Sometimes that shows different/updated info than what the transcript says.

Have you tried logging into your IRS account and checking your transcript instead of just relying on what TT told you? Sometimes there are codes that can explain delays.

The bank issue is getting ridiculous. Had the same problem with Cash App last year. Ended up getting a paper check 6 weeks later because something got "rejected". My advice - call the IRS directly, not the bank or TT. Only the IRS can tell you for sure what happened.

POSSIBLE RED FLAG - did you have any advance child tax credits last year? Or stimulus payments? If those were reported incorrectly it can cause delays even after they give you a DDD. They might have pulled it back for review.

Hey I just went through this with Chime too! Called the IRS and found out that even though my transcript showed the DDD, there was actually a "hold" on my account they needed to manually release. Got it fixed after talking to 3 different departments. The transcript isn't always 100% accurate on timing.

I never trust those online banks for important deposits anymore. Too many horror stories. I switched back to a regular bank last year after netspend "lost" my tax refund for 3 weeks.

Worked at a tax prep place for 6 years. This happens ALL the time with online banks. The IRS often sends a test deposit first to verify the account, and sometimes those fail with online banks, causing delays. Give it 5 business days from your DDD, then start really investigating.

Literally just got my refund this morning with a similar situation. DDD was 3/14, and it finally hit my Varo account today (3/17). No explanation for the delay. Seems like the online banks are running behind this year for some reason.
