DEO: Weeks claimed, no funds issued. Case escalated 2 weeks ago, still no update. Help!
I've been waiting for weeks now with no update on my unemployment claim. All my weeks are claimed but I haven't received any funds. I've already requested for my case to be escalated to a higher process, but it's been two weeks since then and still nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! I've been waiting for over a month now. Have you tried calling them directly?

•I've tried calling but can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 20 mins on hold that way!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know? 🤷♀️

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. You just go to their website, choose the department you need to call, pay, and they start calling for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings. Simple as that.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have direct lines to the unemployment office. 3. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 4. Check your online account for any pending issues or required documents. 5. If possible, visit an unemployment office in person. 6. Consider filing an appeal if your claim has been denied or is stuck. Remember, the system is overwhelmed right now, but don't give up. You're entitled to these benefits!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep. Didn't even think of that!

I hate to say it, but welcome to the club 🙃 Been dealing with this nonsense for 3 months now. The system is a joke.

•Barely. Credit cards and help from family. It's rough out here 😔

PSA: If you're having trouble with your claim, check if there's a Facebook group for your state's unemployment issues. I found one for my state and it's been super helpful!

Guys, I think I figured out the secret code to get through the phone system! You have to press 2, then 1, then 3, then # when you call. It bypasses the usual menu and gets you to a human faster!

•Holy crap, it actually worked! You're a genius! 🙌

•Ah man, sorry it didn't work for everyone. They might change it up sometimes. Keep trying!

Anyone else notice that the website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄

•EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It's like they don't want us to get our money 🤬

Pro tip: if you can, apply for food stamps and other assistance while you wait. It won't solve everything, but it can help ease the burden a bit.
