8 weeks waiting on DEO adjudication determination - no updates. Help!

Hey everyone, I've been waiting for my unemployment benefits for 8 weeks now due to a pending adjudication determination. I'm getting really frustrated with the lack of updates. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information on what's going on with my claim?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was stuck in adjudication hell for 12 weeks before I finally got my determination. It's like they forget we have bills to pay šŸ™„

12 weeks?! That's insane. I thought my 6-week wait was bad. The system is so broken 😤

Same boat here. 10 weeks and counting. Its like were all just numbers to them

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I had to borrow money from family just to keep afloat. The stress was unreal 😫

Have you tried contacting your local state representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under the unemployment office and get things moving.

I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my rep is?

Just google '[your state] find my representative'. Most states have a website where you can enter your address and it'll show you who represents you. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

Listen up, because I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but I swear it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Here's what I've learned from my own adjudication nightmare: • Keep calling regularly. Like, every day if you can. • Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every email. • Check your online account for any requests for additional info. • If you can, upload any supporting documents even if they haven't asked for them yet. • Write to your state reps and senator. Be polite but firm. • Join Facebook groups for your state's unemployment issues. Sometimes they have insider info. • If you have a complex case, consider getting a free consult with an employment lawyer. Stay strong, OP. The system sucks, but don't give up!

lmao imagine thinking the government actually cares about us 🤔 we're all just cogs in the machine bro

Have you checked if there's any missing information on your claim? Sometimes they don't tell you if something's incomplete and it just sits there.

I've triple-checked everything, but maybe I'll give it another look. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ive been hearing rumors that theyre purposely delaying claims to force people back to work. Anyone else heard this?

0 coins

That's just a conspiracy theory. The real issue is understaffing and outdated systems.

Idk man, wouldnt put it past them. Goverment always has hidden agendas šŸ‘€

Pro tip: If you get through to someone, ask for a tier 2 specialist right away. They have more power to actually fix issues.

Oh, that's good to know. I'll definitely try that if I ever manage to get a human on the line.

Hey Zane, I'm in a similar boat - 7 weeks and counting here. One thing that helped me get some movement was filing a complaint with the Florida Department of Commerce. You can do it online and it creates a paper trail that forces them to respond within a certain timeframe. Also, try calling first thing in the morning right when they open (8 AM) - I've had better luck getting through then. The waiting is brutal but don't give up! šŸ’Ŗ
