FL DEO Unemployment: Stuck in adjudication for 1+ month, no $550 payment. How to speed up?

Has anyone else been waiting forever for their unemployment payment? I've been stuck in adjudication for over a month now. I already talked to a rep and gave them all the info they needed like 2 weeks ago. Still no $550 payment. This is getting ridiculous. Anyone know how long this usually takes or what I can do to speed things up?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment adjudication delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mx4TG5qJqYE

I feel ya. It's like trying to nail jello to a wall. Keep at it tho, you'll get there!

Persistence is key! Don't give up!

Pro tip: if you get through to someone, ask for a tier 2 specialist right away. They have more power to actually fix things.

0 coins

This! Tier 2 reps are the real MVPs.

0 coins

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try this if I ever manage to get through.

Sending good vibes your way, OP. This whole system is a dumpster fire, but we're all in it together. You got this! 💪

Thanks for the encouragement! We need more of this positivity.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting 2 months now. Starting to feel like I'm never gonna see that money.

0 coins

2 months?! That's insane. I hope you get it sorted soon.

0 coins

Hang in there! I finally got mine after 3 months. There's hope!

Have you considered reaching out to news stations? Sometimes media attention helps.

0 coins

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel to get the grease.

0 coins

Yeah, I've called like a million times. Always busy or I'm on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

0 coins

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 45 mins of hold time that way.

0 coins

Another trick is to call during their less busy hours. Sometimes lunch hours or late afternoons are less congested.

For those of you experiencing long wait times with EDD, services like Claimyr can indeed be helpful. Claimyr charges a fee of about $20 to help you bypass the initial phone menu and reach a live agent faster, which can save you a significant amount of time. While many users report positive experiences, it's important to weigh these costs against your personal financial situation. Keep in mind that Claimyr is one of several options and isn't officially endorsed by EDD, so your mileage may vary. If you're comfortable with technology, also consider reaching out through social media as some have found success there. Ultimately, staying persistent, patient, and exploring all avenues can expedite the process, but remember that systemic issues often contribute to delays that even the most diligent follow-up can't entirely mitigate.

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes it updates there before they actually tell you anything.

0 coins

Checking daily can save you from missing any updates.

0 coins

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes they respond faster there.

0 coins

Make sure to tag them directly and use relevant hashtags to get noticed.

0 coins

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important EDD emails end up there.

0 coins

Good idea, but I just checked and nothings there. Thanks tho!

0 coins

It might be a good idea to add their email domain to your safe senders list, just in case.

Anyone else feel like we're all just screaming into the void here? 🕳️👀

0 coins

Totally. It's like nobody's listening at the other end of the line.

0 coins

I swear, dealing with EDD is harder than my actual job was. And they wonder why we need unemployment...

0 coins

It's like a full-time job just trying to reach them!

0 coins

I feel your pain. Been there, done that. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. Email your state representative. Sometimes they can light a fire under EDD's butt. 3. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 4. Check your online account for any pending tasks or messages you might have missed. 5. If all else fails, file an appeal. It's a pain, but it can get things moving. Hang in there. The system is broken, but you'll get your money eventually.

0 coins

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try emailing my rep. Didn't even think of that.

0 coins

This is solid gold advice right here. Listen to this person, they know whats up!

I've also heard that having a lawyer send a letter can expedite things, though that's a costly route.

0 coins

I heard they're super backlogged because of all the fraud cases. Doesn't make it any easier for us legit folks tho 😑

0 coins

It's frustrating how a few bad apples spoil it for everyone else.

0 coins

lol welcome to EDD hell. where the rules are made up and your bills don't matter 🤡

0 coins

If only they had a fast pass system, like at amusement parks!

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

0 coins

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

0 coins

Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical too but it saved me hours of hold time.

0 coins

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 😤

0 coins

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, ya know?

0 coins

I used Claimyr too. It was a bit of a risk, but I just couldn't wait any longer. Worth it in my case.

0 coins

Anyone else considering a hunger strike outside the EDD office? I'm only half joking...

0 coins

I'll bring the signs if you bring the chairs 😂

0 coins

Careful, they might 'adjudicate' your protest for a few months too 💀

0 coins

Have you tried sacrificing a goat to the EDD gods? Might work better than actually calling them 😂

0 coins

Haha, maybe throw in a dance and chant for good measure!

0 coins

Maybe try faxing them? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard it can work.

0 coins

Faxing? What year is it? 1995? 😂 But hey, I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point.

0 coins

Sometimes old school methods work best. Worth a shot!

0 coins

Welcome to the club, buddy. I've been in adjudication hell for 6 weeks now. It's like they enjoy watching us suffer or something.

Mei Liu

I can't believe they can't streamline this process better. It's like they want us to lose hope.
