Unemployment payment delayed due to adjudication issue - terrible phone experience, need advice
I've been waiting for my unemployment payment for weeks now. The system keeps saying there's an adjudication issue. I finally got through to someone on the phone after waiting for 2 hours, but the call was a disaster. The agent only said 'yes' twice, asked for my info, and then put me on hold. I couldn't even tell if I was still connected or if they hung up. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to actually get this resolved?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been dealing with the same BS for months now. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get our benefits. Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under the unemployment office's ass.

•I second this! My state rep's office was super helpful. They got my claim unstuck within a week after I'd been waiting for months. Definitely worth a shot!

•Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a try. Did you just call their office or send an email?

•I sent an email first with all my details, then followed up with a call a couple days later. Good luck! 🍀

I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After months of trying, I finally got through and got my issue resolved. Worth every penny imho.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and attempts to contact them. 2. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 3. Ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help. 4. Check your online account for any pending tasks or documents they might need. 5. Consider reaching out to your local legal aid office. They sometimes offer free help with unemployment issues. 6. Join Facebook groups or other online communities for unemployment support in your state. They often have insider tips. Hang in there. I know it's frustrating, but don't give up!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. Do you have any recommendations for good Facebook groups?

•Sure! Just search for '[Your State] Unemployment Support' or '[Your State] UI Help'. There are usually a few active ones. Good luck!

lol welcome to the club 🤡 I've been waiting 6 months and still nothing. The system is a joke.

Have you checked if there's any missing information on your claim? Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing and it just sits there in limbo.

•I've looked over everything a million times, but I'll double-check. Thanks for the suggestion!

Protip: call right when they open. Like, start dialing 2 minutes before. You'll have a much better chance of getting through.

•This! And use multiple phones if you can. I had my wife and I both calling from different lines. We got through way faster.

•Doesn't always work tho. I tried this for weeks and still couldn't get through. YMMV

Anyone else notice how they always seem to 'lose' our documents? I've had to send in the same forms like 3 times now. So frustrating!
