NYDOL payment stuck on pending - how to actually reach someone?
Hey everyone, I've been waiting for my unemployment payment to be released for what feels like forever. I've tried calling the unemployment office but I can never get through. It's so frustrating just sitting here waiting for something to happen. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any advice on how to actually get someone on the phone or speed up the process?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last month. It's like they don't want us to actually get our money 🙄

•For real tho. The system is so broken, it's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible

•Yep, welcome to the club. I've been waiting for 6 weeks now. It's ridiculous

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! There's this site called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials through the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait with this service?

•It took about 2 hours total, but I didn't have to do anything. The service called me when an agent was on the line

Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call right when they open in the morning 2. If you get a busy signal, hang up and immediately redial 3. Keep doing this until you get through to the menu 4. Once you're in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long it takes It took me about 2 hours of redialing, but I finally got through. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I did something similar and it worked after a few days of trying

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's additional info they need that you can submit online without calling

•Yeah, I've checked a million times. There's nothing there asking for more info. It just says my claim is pending 😕

I heard they just updated their system last week. Maybe that's causing delays for everyone?

Pro tip: if you're gonna try calling, use multiple phones at once. Increases your chances of getting through. I had my cell, work phone, and landline all going at the same time lol
