PFL claim info doesn't match records & can't edit prefilled form - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with the PFL claim process. When I try to create a new claim, the system says the information I entered doesn't match their records. The annoying part is that it's all prefilled, so I can't even change it online. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Ugh, I had the same issue last month. It's so frustrating when you can't even edit the info they have on file. Have you tried calling them? It took me forever to get through, but that was the only way I could fix it.

•I haven't tried calling yet, but I'm dreading it. How long did you have to wait on hold?

•Honestly, it was a nightmare. I was on hold for like 3 hours before I finally got through to someone. Make sure you have plenty of time and patience if you decide to call!

I found a way to get someone on the phone without the crazy wait times. I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•I've heard of services like this before. $20 seems worth it if it saves you from being on hold all day.

•Exactly! Time is money, and I'd rather pay $20 than waste half my day on hold.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with weird website issues. Also, make sure you're using a supported browser - I've had problems with the PFL site on older versions of Internet Explorer.

This happened to me too! Turns out they had my old address on file from like 5 years ago. I had to fax them (yes, FAX in 2023 🙄) a copy of my driver's license and a utility bill to prove my current address. After that, I could finally update my info and file the claim.

•Wow, that's so archaic. Did you have to go somewhere to fax it or do you have a fax machine at home?

•I used one of those online fax services. It was a pain, but at least I didn't have to track down an actual fax machine lol

Here's what I would do: 1. Double-check all your personal info (SSN, DOB, address, etc.) to make sure it's correct 2. Try accessing the site from a different device or browser 3. If that doesn't work, call the PFL office directly 4. Be prepared with all your documents (ID, paystubs, etc.) 5. If you can't get through on the phone, consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above 6. As a last resort, you might need to visit a local office in person Hope this helps! The system can be a real pain, but don't give up. You'll get it sorted eventually.

•For real. It's 2023, why can't they just have a functional website? 🤦♀️
