PFL claim processing delayed due to wrong last day of employment - how to fix?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my PFL claim. The last day of employment on my claim is wrong and it's causing problems with processing. Has anyone dealt with this before? What's the best way to get this fixed?

Ugh, been there done that. It's such a pain when they mess up your info. Have you tried calling them? Make sure you have proof of your actual last day ready when you talk to them.

•Yeah, I've got my last paystub and a letter from my employer. Just nervous about getting through to someone who can actually help 😓

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have to try a few days in a row, but it's way better than waiting on hold for hours.

•Good advice! Also, be super nice to whoever you get on the phone. Sometimes they can go above and beyond if you're not a jerk lol

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call 🤔

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•They don't guarantee it, but in my experience it worked first try. You just put in the number you want them to call, and they handle all the menu options and waiting. When a real person picks up, your phone rings.

Have you tried updating it online? Sometimes you can make small corrections without having to call in.

This happened to me last year. It took forever to get it fixed, but here's what worked: 1. Gather all your documentation (last paystub, termination letter, etc.) 2. Call the PFL office (be prepared to wait) 3. Explain the situation calmly and clearly 4. Ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help 5. Follow up with an email summarizing your call and attach your documents 6. Keep calling every few days until it's resolved It's a pain, but persistence is key. Good luck!

•Wow, thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely follow these steps. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long 🤞

•This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of every call you make, including the date, time, and name of who you spoke to. It can help if you need to escalate later.

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they make it complicated on purpose to discourage people from claiming

•Calm down, Karen. It's not perfect but at least we have these benefits. Try dealing with this stuff in other countries 🙄

Quick question - how long ago did you file your claim? If it's recent, you might be able to submit an amendment form without going through the whole call center nightmare.

•I filed about 3 weeks ago. Is that too late for an amendment?

•Nah, you should be good. Check their website for the amendment form. Might save you a headache!
