PFL claim processed but no payment received - doctor added more days, what now?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my PFL claim. It says it's processed with a weekly benefit amount, but I still haven't received any money. Also, my doctor added more days to my leave. What should I do now? Has anyone else dealt with this before?

Ugh, I feel ya. The PFL system can be such a headache sometimes. Have you tried calling them? That's usually the best way to get answers, even though it's a pain in the butt to get through.

•I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

I had a similar situation last year. Here's what I did: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of when your claim was processed, when your doctor added days, etc. 2. Send a secure message through the online portal explaining the situation. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try contacting your local assemblymember's office. They can sometimes help push things along. 4. Be patient (I know, it sucks). Sometimes it takes a few weeks for the system to update with new info from your doctor. Hope this helps! Hang in there.

•Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my assemblymember if I can't get through soon.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure your employer has submitted all the necessary paperwork too. That can hold things up.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the call back?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but beats spending all day trying to get through!

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes it updates there before you actually receive the payment.

•Yeah, I've been checking obsessively. It just says 'processed' but no payment in sight 😩

Quick question - did you make sure to report any wages earned during your claim period? That can affect when/how much you receive.

•I didn't earn any wages during this time, so that shouldn't be an issue. Good thinking tho!

Guys, I think I cracked the code. If you press 2, then 1, then 4, then wait for the Spanish option and press 3, you can sometimes get through to a real person. It's like playing a video game lol

Anyone else notice that the PFL system seems to be extra slow lately? Wonder if they're short-staffed or something.

•Probably. Seems like every government agency is understaffed these days. 🙄
