PFL claim processed but payment unclear & wrong return-to-work date. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my PFL claim. I just noticed it was processed, but I'm still unsure about when and how I'll get paid. Also, they've got my return-to-work date wrong. It's showing 5/25 when it should be 5/30. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this fixed?

Ugh, dealing with PFL is such a headache! I had a similar issue with my return-to-work date. Here's what I did: 1. Gather all your documentation (doctor's notes, etc.) 2. Call the PFL office ASAP 3. Explain the situation calmly 4. Ask them to update your return date 5. Inquire about the payment process while you're at it Be prepared to wait on hold for a while, but don't give up! Good luck!

This is solid advice! I'd add: take notes during the call, including the name of who you spoke with. It helps if you need to follow up later.

lol good luck getting through to anyone on the phone. I've been trying for weeks! 😭

Yeah, the wait times are brutal. I usually put my phone on speaker and do other stuff while waiting. It's annoying but necessary 🤷‍♂️

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's a rip-off. The government should make it easier to reach them without paying extra.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you explain more about how it works? Do they give you a specific time for the call?

0 coins

Sure! You choose when you want them to start calling. They keep dialing and navigating the menu until they get a human. Then they connect you. I got my call within an hour.

have you checked your online account? sometimes the info there is more up to date than what they tell you on the phone

Oof, wrong return-to-work date is a pain. Make sure you get that fixed ASAP or it could mess up your benefits. Don't let em shortchange you those extra days! 💪

fr fr, every day counts when it comes to benefits. don't let the system screw you over!

idk about PFL but when I had issues with my unemployment claim, I reached out to my state representative's office. They have liaisons who can sometimes help speed things up with these agencies. Might be worth a shot?

This is actually great advice. I did this for an EDD issue and it got resolved in days instead of weeks.

How do you even find out who your state rep is? 🤔

Just google '[your state] find my representative' - there's usually a website where you can enter your address and it'll tell you who represents you.

bruh the whole system is broken af. good luck getting any straight answers from those clowns 🤡

preach 🙌 feels like they make it complicated on purpose sometimes

Hey OP, when was your claim approved? That might give you a better idea of when to expect payment. In my experience, it usually takes about 7-10 business days after approval for the money to hit your account.

Thanks for asking! It was just approved yesterday. Guess I'll keep an eye on my account for the next couple weeks.

Cool, yeah give it some time. But def get that return-to-work date sorted out ASAP. You don't want that messing up your payment amount.

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school, but sometimes it's faster than calling or emailing. Just make sure to keep a copy of what you send!

ugh im in the same boat. been waiting on my pfl payment for weeks now. this whole process is so stressful 😫

Hang in there! It's frustrating but it'll get sorted eventually. Don't let it get you down too much. 💪
