EDD claim showing wrong return-to-work date - how to fix?
Has anyone else had issues with their claim showing an incorrect return-to-work date? I just noticed mine is wrong and I'm not sure how to fix it. Any advice on what to do or who to contact?

Ugh, I had the same problem last month. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling the EDD? That's what I did, but it took forever to get through.

•I've been trying to call all morning but no luck. How long did it take you to finally reach someone?

•It took me like 3 days of constant calling 😩 I swear their phone system is designed to make us give up

•3 days? You got lucky! I've been trying for weeks and still haven't gotten through. This system is a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

Here's what you need to do to fix the return-to-work date issue: 1. Log into your EDD account online 2. Go to the 'Contact Us' section 3. Select 'Claim Questions' as the category 4. Choose 'Return to Work Date' as the topic 5. Explain the error in detail 6. Submit the request They should get back to you within 5-7 business days. If you don't hear back, then you'll need to call. But try this first, it worked for me!

Have you checked if there's an EDD office near you? Sometimes it's easier to get things sorted in person. Just bring all your documents and be prepared to wait in line.

•That's a good idea, I didn't even think of that. I'll look up the nearest office. Thanks!

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. That's usually when you have the best chance of getting through. Good luck!

•This! 💯 I always call at 8:01 AM and usually get through within 30 minutes.

I had this exact same issue a few months ago! The wrong return-to-work date was causing delays with my benefits. What worked for me was documenting everything first - take screenshots of what's showing incorrectly, then try the online method that Andre mentioned above. If that doesn't work within a week, definitely try calling first thing in the morning like Mei suggested. The key is being persistent but polite when you finally get through to someone. They were able to fix mine during the call once I explained the situation clearly. Don't give up!

•This is really reassuring to hear from someone who actually got it resolved! Taking screenshots is such a smart idea - I hadn't thought of that. Did you have to provide any additional documentation when you called, or were the screenshots enough to show them the error?
