EDD return to work date wrong on claim - how to fix?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my return to work date on my claim. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you get it fixed? I noticed the discrepancy today and I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I've been there. The EDD system is such a mess. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but that's probably your best bet.

Calling is the worst 😫 I spent hours on hold and never got through. There has to be a better way!

I found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Wait, seriously? $20 to avoid hours on hold? That sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me so much time and frustration. Totally worth the $20 imo.

I had the same issue last month. Here's what I did to fix it: 1. Log into your EDD account online 2. Go to the 'Contact Us' section 3. Send a message explaining the error in your return to work date 4. Wait for a response (took about 3 business days for me) 5. If you don't hear back, try calling Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah, they were actually pretty helpful once I got through. Just make sure you have all your info ready when you message them. Good luck!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help expedite EDD issues. Worth a shot if nothing else works!

This! 👆 My assembly member's office was a game-changer. They got my issue resolved in like a week when I'd been struggling for months on my own.

Just Google '[your city] California assembly member' and it should pop up. Most have forms on their websites specifically for EDD issues now.

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online message. You never know when you'll need to prove you've been trying to resolve the issue. Saved my butt more than once dealing with EDD!

This is so important! I learned the hard way. Now I keep a spreadsheet with dates, times, and names of everyone I talk to. It's a pain, but it's come in handy.

Anyone else feel like we need a complete overhaul of the unemployment system? It's 2023 and we're still dealing with these archaic processes. 🤦‍♂️

Preach! 🙌 The whole system is held together with duct tape and prayers at this point.

For real. My cousin works in tech and says their systems are from like the 80s. No wonder everything's always breaking down.
