PFL claim info verification failing - help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my Paid Family Leave claim. The system keeps saying my information can't be verified. Has anyone else run into this? Any tips on how to fix it? I'm getting really frustrated and could use some advice.

Ugh, I've been there. It's such a pain when the system won't verify your info. Have you double-checked that all your documents are up to date and match exactly what's on your claim? That was my issue.

•Yeah, I've checked everything like a million times. It all looks good to me, but the system just won't accept it. So frustrating! 😤

•Sometimes its the littlest things. Make sure your address is exactly the same, even down to using 'Street' vs 'St.' Those systems can be super picky.

•Omg, I didn't even think about that. I'll double check. Thanks for the tip! 🙏

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone to help with this. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

•It really does work! I was skeptical too, but I was desperate. I only waited about 30 minutes before I got connected to an agent. Totally worth the $20 imo.

•Idk man, paying to get through to a government service feels wrong. Shouldn't this be free?

•I get where you're coming from, but after spending hours trying to get through myself, I was willing to pay to save time and stress. It's not ideal, but it solved my problem.

The whole system is broken af. I've been trying to get my PFL sorted for weeks. It's like they don't want us to actually use the benefits we're entitled to. 🤬

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help push things through.

•I hadn't thought of that! Do you know how I would find out who my assembly member is?

•Just google '[your city] assembly member' and it should come up. Most have contact forms on their websites. Good luck!

Here's what worked for me when I had verification issues with my PFL claim: 1. Double-check ALL your info. Even tiny discrepancies can cause problems. 2. Make sure your ID isn't expired. 3. If you've moved recently, update your address everywhere. 4. Try uploading clearer photos of your documents if you did it on mobile. 5. Use the online portal to message them directly about the issue. 6. As a last resort, fax your documents (yes, seriously, sometimes this works better). Hope this helps! The system is a pain, but don't give up. You'll get through eventually!

•Faxing?? What year is it, 1995? 😂 But for real, if it works, it works. Good tips!
