EDD can't verify my PFL - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my paid family leave. The EDD can't seem to verify it and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get it sorted out?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling them directly? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things moving.

•I've been trying to call for days but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

•30 minutes? You got lucky! I was on hold for 3 hours last time ðŸ˜

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about an hour.

•20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep for just a phone call 🤔

•I hear ya, but considering I wasted hours trying to get through before, it was worth it for me. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what worked for me when I had issues with my PFL verification: 1. Gather all your documentation (medical forms, employment info, etc) 2. Write a detailed letter explaining your situation 3. Fax everything to their office (yes, fax - they seem to respond faster to faxes) 4. Follow up with a phone call after a week It's a process, but it got my issue resolved. Good luck!

The whole system is broken. I've been dealing with EDD for months and it's a nightmare. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it. 🤡

Have you considered reaching out to your local state representative? They sometimes have staff dedicated to helping constituents with EDD issues.

•I didn't even know that was an option. How do I find out who my rep is?

•Just google '[your city] state representative'. Most have websites with contact info for constituent services.
