PFL identity verification stuck - EDD nightmare! Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my Paid Family Leave application. The identity verification process isn't going through. Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried submitting my documents but it's still not working. Any advice on what to do next? I'm getting worried about my benefits being delayed.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through the same thing last month. Have you tried using ID.me? That seemed to work for me after I kept getting stuck with the regular verification process.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't tried ID.me yet. Did you have to create a new account or anything?

Yeah, you'll need to make an account with them. It's pretty straightforward tho. Just make sure you have a good internet connection and your ID ready. Good luck!

ID.me is hit or miss tbh. Worked for my cousin but I got stuck in an endless loop 🙃

Have you received any notices from EDD about the verification issue? Sometimes they send letters with specific instructions on what to do next.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

I get it, but considering how much time I wasted trying to get through before, it was worth it for me. Your call tho!

The whole system is broken af. I've been trying to get my benefits for WEEKS. This is ridiculous. 🤬

Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your documents are clear and legible 2. Try uploading in a different format (PDF instead of JPEG, for example) 3. Use a different browser or clear your cache 4. If all else fails, call the EDD office first thing in the morning (like right when they open) 5. Be persistent! Sometimes it takes a few tries Hang in there, OP. It's frustrating but you'll get through it eventually!

Just a heads up, there's been a lot of identity theft going around. Make sure you're only using official EDD websites and be careful about sharing personal info online.
