EDD SDI account creation error - ID already assigned, possible identity fraud. Help!

I tried to create an account for SDI and parental leave, but got an error saying my ID is already assigned to an account. I'm worried this might be identity fraud. A few years ago, someone tried to file for unemployment with my info, and my wallet was stolen during COVID. I've had identity theft issues before. What should I do when I talk to EDD? Any advice on how to handle this?

Oof, identity theft is the worst. Make sure you change ALL your passwords, especially your email. If someone has access to your email, they can reset passwords for everything else. Use a password manager if you're not already!

EDD: Mailed continued claim 2+ weeks ago, no response. How to check status?

Hey everyone, I mailed in my continued claim form over two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back. I'm getting worried about the status of my claim. Has anyone else experienced long wait times for mailed-in claims? Any advice on how to follow up or check on the status?

idk if this helps, but I had a similar issue and it turned out my employer hadn't submitted some required info on their end. Might be worth checking with your HR department to make sure they've done everything they need to do.
