Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at EDD. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Have you filed a police report for the identity theft? That could help when talking to EDD. Also, contact the FTC and file an identity theft report with them. It's a pain, but it'll help in the long run.

lol welcome to the club 🤡 EDD is a total circus. Took me 6 months to sort out my identity issues with them. Buckle up, you're in for a wild ride!

Pro tip: If you can, try calling right when they open. I've had better luck getting through early in the morning. Also, Tuesdays and Wednesdays seem to be less busy.

Oof, identity theft is the worst. Make sure you change ALL your passwords, especially your email. If someone has access to your email, they can reset passwords for everything else. Use a password manager if you're not already!

Has anyone else noticed that EDD's website looks like it was designed in 1995 and never updated? 💀 How are we supposed to trust them with our sensitive info when they can't even update their UI?
