EDD Account Locked - Can't Log In and Telecert Claims All Weeks Certified?!
I'm completely stuck with my EDD account and starting to panic! Tried logging into UI Online this morning and my password suddenly isn't working. When I tried to reset it, even my security question answers are being rejected (I KNOW I'm typing them correctly). So I figured I'd just use telecert for now, but when I called, the system told me 'all available weeks have been certified' - except I haven't certified for the last two weeks at all! Anyone else dealing with this weird glitch? My rent is due next week and I absolutely need this payment to come through. What should I do when both online access AND phone certification are locked?

•I tried my phone and laptop, same problem on both. Did you ever get it fully fixed or are you still having issues?

THE EDD SYSTEM IS TOTAL GARBAGE!!! They do this ON PURPOSE to make people give up on their benefits. I had something similar happen in December and spent WEEKS trying to get through to someone. Keep trying different browsers and clearing your cache. Sometimes that works.

•They definitely don't do it on purpose. Their systems are just outdated and overloaded. But yes, clearing cache and cookies can help with login issues.

This is actually two separate issues. The login problem is likely an account security lock, which happens after too many incorrect password attempts or suspicious login activity. The telecert saying weeks are certified when they aren't is a known glitch that happens when the system hasn't properly updated your certification status. You need to speak with an EDD representative to fix both issues. They can manually verify your identity and reset your account access, then check why your certification weeks are showing as completed when they aren't.

•Thank you for explaining! Do you know if there's any way to reach a representative quickly? I've been calling the main number all morning and it just disconnects me every time.

•I didn't think of checking AskEDD! I'll try that right now. And I'll double check my spam folder too just in case they sent verification emails. Thanks!

After dealing with almost identical issues last month, I discovered a service called Claimyr that helped me get through to an EDD representative in about 25 minutes when I had been trying for days with no success. They basically keep dialing for you until they get through, then connect you directly to an EDD agent. It saved me from missing another payment cycle. Their site is claimyr.com and you can see how it works in this video: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km The EDD rep I spoke with was able to unlock my account and fix the certification issue all in one call. Apparently there was a flag on my account that made the system think I had already certified when I hadn't.

•That sounds exactly like what I need! At this point I'll try anything to get this fixed. Going to check out that link now. Did they ask for any personal info before connecting you?

•They just need your phone number to connect the call. The EDD rep will ask you for verification info as usual, but that's directly with EDD, not the service. Hope it helps!

Wait I'm confused... are you talking about your UI Online account password or your BofA card password? Because those are totally different things and I think people are giving you advice for the wrong problem...

•I'm talking about my UI Online account password - the one I use to log in to the EDD website to certify for benefits. I can't get into the site at all, and when I try to use telecert as a backup, it says I've already certified (which I haven't).

•Oh ok got it. I was thinking of the Money Network card they use now, not BofA anymore. My bad!

This sounds like what happened to me earlier this year. There was a system update on a weekend that caused account locks for a lot of people. In my case, my identity verification had expired and instead of sending me a notice, they just locked me out. You absolutely need to speak with a tier 2 specialist at EDD. Regular representatives can't always solve these complex login/certification issues. When you call, specifically ask for a tier 2 specialist who handles account access problems. Regarding the telecert saying your weeks are certified - check your payment history on your Money Network account if you can access that. Sometimes the payment still processes even when the system shows errors.

•I didn't realize there were different tiers of representatives. I'll definitely ask for a tier 2 specialist. And great suggestion about checking my Money Network account - I hadn't thought of that. I'll log in there to see if anything processed.

btw i forgot to mention earlier but my issue ended up being that I needed to do the ID.me verification again because my old one expired or something? The EDD lady on the phone said its a new requirement in 2025 that everyone has to redo their ID verification every 8 months now. maybe check if that's your problem too

•That's correct. EDD implemented the 8-month ID.me reverification requirement starting January 2025. They were supposed to send email notifications 30 days before expiration, but their notification system has been having issues. If your ID verification expired, that would absolutely cause both the login issues and certification problems the OP is experiencing.

UPDATE: I got through to EDD this morning! For anyone having similar issues, here's what happened: My ID.me verification had expired (apparently they require reverification every 8 months now), and instead of notifying me, they just locked my account. Once I completed the new ID.me verification, they were able to unlock everything and manually let me certify for the past two weeks I missed. The payments should be processed within 48 hours. Thank you all for your help!!

•That's great news! Glad you got it resolved. How did you finally get through to them? Did you try the service I mentioned or just keep calling?
