PFL Claim Issues: Employer Address Typo & Month-Long Direct Deposit Delay - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my Paid Family Leave claim. I noticed there's a typo in my employer's address that I need to fix. Also, it's been over a month since I filed and I still haven't received my direct deposit. Anyone else experiencing delays or have advice on updating info?

Ugh, the PFL system is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue with my employer's info being wrong. You need to call them ASAP to get it fixed, otherwise it could delay your payments even more. As for the direct deposit, a month does seem long... have you checked your claim status online?

•Thanks for the advice! I've been trying to call but can never get through. The online status just says 'pending' which isn't very helpful 😓

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. That's how I finally got through after weeks of trying!

•Pending for a month? That's rough buddy. Maybe try reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help speed things up.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•20 bucks to actually talk to a human? might be worth it at this point lol

•Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. Why should we have to pay extra just to use a service we're entitled to? 🤔

•I get the concern, but for me, it was worth the time saved. Plus, I got my issue resolved in one call. Your call tho!

Here's what you need to do to fix your PFL claim issues: 1. Address typo: Call the PFL office and ask to speak with a claim specialist. Explain the typo and ask them to update it in their system. Get a confirmation number for the change. 2. Payment delay: If it's been over a month, there might be an issue with your claim. Check these things: - Make sure all required documents are submitted - Verify your identity is confirmed in the system - Check if they need any additional info from your employer 3. Follow up: If you can't get through on the phone, try: - Sending a secure message through your online account - Faxing a letter explaining your situation - Contacting your local assembly member for assistance 4. Be persistent: Keep calling and checking your claim status online. Document all your attempts to contact them. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Quick question - did you double check that your bank info is correct in the system? I had a similar delay and it turned out I had transposed two numbers in my account number. Might be worth verifying!

Not to be that guy, but have you tried going to an actual office? Sometimes face-to-face is the only way to get things done with these bureaucrats.

Ive herd that sometimes the system flags claims for random audits which can cause delays. might be worth asking if thats whats happening with yours
