Need help getting through to EDD on 415 number - headphone issues making it worse!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with EDD and I need to call them. I've been trying to get through on their phone line (415-413-6102) but no luck so far. Has anyone had any success recently? I'm worried about missing the call when I finally get through because of some headphone problems I'm having. Any advice on how to handle this or alternative ways to contact EDD would be really appreciated!

Ugh, calling EDD is the worst! I've been trying for weeks and can never get through. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone. Good luck, you're gonna need it 🙄

Tell me about it! I feel like I've spent half my life on hold with them. It's ridiculous how understaffed they are.

have you tried calling right when they open? I heard thats the best time to get through

Yeah, I've tried every trick in the book. Early morning, late afternoon, you name it. No dice 😫

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration!

20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep for something that should be free 🤔

I get it, but honestly, after wasting so much time trying to get through, it was worth every penny to me.

Pro tip: Use a landline if you have one. Cell phones can be unreliable, especially if youre having headphone issues. Also, make sure youre in a quiet place when you finally get through. Those EDD reps can be hard to hear sometimes!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help push your case through. Worked for me when I was stuck in limbo for months!

This! 👆 Assembly members are the secret weapon for dealing with EDD. They can work miracles sometimes.

Wow, I had no idea this was an option. How do I find my assembly member?

Just google '[your city] assembly member' and you should find their contact info. Good luck!

Here's what I've learned from my EDD calling marathon: 1. Call early in the morning, right when they open. 2. If you get the 'too many callers' message, hang up and redial immediately. 3. Have all your info ready - claim number, last employer, dates, etc. 4. Be patient and polite with the rep - they're dealing with a lot. 5. If you can't get through, try the online portal or send a message there. 6. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member for help. 7. Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, what was said. Hope this helps! Dealing with EDD can be a nightmare, but persistence pays off.

Great advice! I'd add: if you get through and then get disconnected, call back immediately and explain what happened. Sometimes they can get you back to the same rep.

Am I the only one who thinks its absurd that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get basic help? The system is broken af 🤬

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're trying to discourage us from claiming what we're entitled to.

Totally agree. We need to put pressure on our reps to fix this mess. It's been bad for years and only getting worse.

Quick question - has anyone had luck getting through on a specific day of the week? I've heard Wednesdays are less busy but idk if thats just a myth

In my experience, it's pretty random. I've gotten through on a Monday and then spent all day Tuesday trying with no luck. It's a crapshoot tbh

OP, about your headphone issues - maybe try using speakerphone? That way you don't have to worry about missing the call if your headphones act up. Just make sure you're somewhere private!
