EDD Phone Nightmare: Anyone had luck getting refunds for failed calls or actually reaching a human?

Hey guys, I'm having trouble with EDD and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I tried calling them yesterday but couldn't get through. Has anyone had any luck getting a refund for failed calls or know how to actually reach a human? This is so frustrating!

Ugh, I feel your pain. EDD's phone system is a nightmare. I've been trying to get through for weeks with no luck. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone šŸ™„

Same here! I've probably called like 50 times this week alone. Its ridiculous how hard they make it to get help

have you guys tried calling right when they open? I heard thats the best time to get through

Yeah, I've tried that. Still no luck. It's like playing the lottery, but with worse odds lol

I actually found a way to get through! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that calls for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when a real person picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I gave it a shot and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration

$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. EDD should fix their system instead of us having to pay extra 😤

I get that, but for me, it was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved. Time is money, you know?

Has anyone had any luck getting a refund from EDD for failed calls? I've spent so much on my phone bill trying to reach them, it's insane.

Pro tip: use a Google Voice number when calling EDD. That way, you're not racking up charges on your regular phone bill. Plus, you can set it to auto-redial šŸ‘

Thats genius! Why didnt I think of that before? šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Does Google Voice work for receiving calls from EDD too? I'm always paranoid I'll miss their call back

0 coins

Yep, it works both ways. You can even set it up to forward to your regular number so you don't miss anything

I've been dealing with EDD for months now, and here's what I've learned: • Persistence is key. Keep calling, even when it feels hopeless. • Use the online portal as much as possible. Sometimes you can resolve issues there without calling. • If you do get through, be super nice to the rep. They're dealing with angry people all day. • Keep detailed records of all your calls, emails, and claim updates. • Consider reaching out to your local assembly member. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together! šŸ’Ŗ

This is gold! Thanks for sharing your experience. The assembly member tip is especially helpful

Agreed, great advice. I'd add: make sure you have all your docs ready before you call. Nothing worse than finally getting through and realizing you're missing info

Anyone else feel like they're trapped in a kafka-esque nightmare dealing with EDD? It's like, the more I try to fix my claim, the more messed up it gets 🤔

LOL for real tho. Sometimes I wonder if it's all just a big social experiment to see how much frustration humans can take šŸ˜‚šŸ˜

Hey OP, have you tried reaching out to EDD on social media? Sometimes they respond faster there. Worth a shot!
