EDD claim stuck in pending since 2/1 - No response to emails or calls. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits end here. My claim has been stuck in pending since February 1st and I can't seem to get any help. I've sent countless emails and spent hours on the phone, but I'm getting nowhere. It's so frustrating to see my account just sitting there in limbo. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to actually get through to a real person who can help?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was stuck in pending hell for like 3 months. It's ridiculous how hard it is to get any answers. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under EDD's ass.

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought of contacting my rep. Did you have any luck with that approach?

Yeah, it actually helped! Took about 2 weeks, but they managed to get someone at EDD to look at my claim. Worth a shot, right?

Have you guys heard about this new service that calls EDD for you? I used it and actually got through to someone. It's called Claimyr or something. Costs like $20 but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy af. How does it even work?

It's legit! They basically have a system that dials the EDD number, goes through all the menu options, and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. Saved me hours of hold time.

Listen up, y'all. I've been down this road and I've learned a few tricks. Here's what you gotta do: • Call right when they open. I'm talking 7:59 AM, finger hovering over the dial button. • If you get the "too many callers" message, hang up and redial immediately. Sometimes you can sneak through. • Try calling on different days. Mondays and Tuesdays are usually the worst. • When you finally get through, be super nice to the rep. They deal with angry people all day. • Have all your info ready - claim number, last employer, dates, everything. • If one rep can't help, politely ask to be transferred to a tier 2 specialist. • Document EVERYTHING. Get names, ID numbers, and notes from every call. It's a pain in the ass, but persistence pays off. Don't give up!

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling right at opening time. How long did it take you to finally get your issue resolved?

It took me about 3 weeks of trying every day, but I finally got through to someone who could help. Hang in there!

This whole system is a joke. They expect us to just sit around broke while they "process" our claims? I'm bout ready to go down to the EDD office and raise hell 😤

Has anyone tried faxing? I know it sounds old school, but I heard sometimes faxes get attention faster than emails or calls.

Pro tip: if you can, try calling from a different phone number. Sometimes if they see you've been calling a lot from one number, they might filter you out. Also, don't forget to check your spam folder for emails!

That's a good idea, I'll try using my partner's phone. And I'll double-check my spam folder, thanks!

Honestly, just pure luck. But I did call at exactly 8:01 AM and got through after only 20 minutes on hold. Maybe try that?
