2 months, no payment on claim. Advice before calling?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my claim. It's been 2 months already and I haven't received anything. I'm about to call them to find out what's going on. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice before I make the call?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. Make sure you have all your documents ready when you call. They'll probably ask for your claim number, social security number, and the date you filed. Good luck!

•Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely have everything ready. Did you eventually get your claim sorted out?

•3 months?! That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/W4S1W6V2hOQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time.

Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open. You'll have a better chance of getting through quickly.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes that's faster than calling.

•Yeah, I've been checking online every day. It just says 'pending' with no other info 😕

•Oof, that sucks. Definitely time to call then. Good luck!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your documents: claim number, SSN, employment history, etc. 2. Write down a list of questions you have 3. Be polite but firm with the agent 4. Ask for a supervisor if you're not getting anywhere 5. Take notes during the call 6. Get a reference number for the call 7. Follow up with an email summarizing the call Stay calm and don't give up. The system is overwhelmed right now, but persistence pays off. Good luck!

Have you reached out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

•I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my rep is?

•Just google '[your state] find my representative'. Most have websites where you can submit inquiries. Worth a shot!
