Claim payment still delayed - any advice on speeding things up with EDD?
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating situation. My claim payment is still delayed and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get things moving?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been there too. Have you tried calling and asking for specific reasons for the delay? Sometimes they can give you more info or tell you if there's anything you can do to speed things up.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried calling but keep getting stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have better luck getting through.

•Or try calling at like 4:55 PM lol. Sometimes they pick up right before closing 🤷♂️

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate and gave it a shot. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep for something that should be free 😒

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's info there about why a payment is delayed. Might save you a phone call.

The whole system is broken af 🤡 I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. This is ridiculous!

•3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with delayed payments: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and online account updates. 2. Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. 3. Check for any pending tasks or information requests in your online account. 4. If possible, upload any required documents online rather than mailing them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative or senator's office for help. 6. Join social media groups or forums (like this one!) for support and tips from others in the same boat. 7. If you're really stuck, look into legal aid services in your area. Some offer free help with benefit issues. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. 💪

idk if this helps but I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in there system that was causing delays for a bunch of people. Might be worth asking if theres any known technical issues rn

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes their social media team is more responsive than phone support. Worth a shot!
