EDD claim processed but no payment date set - anyone else?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment claim. It says "Your claim has been processed" but there's no date authorized or payment date set. I can see all the benefit amounts for daily/weekly and total, but no actual payment. Anyone else dealing with this? It's so frustrating not knowing when I'll get paid.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting for weeks with no payment date. It's like they're dangling a carrot in front of us 🥕

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

I know it sounds weird, but I swear it worked for me. Got through in like an hour instead of days of trying

Can you explain more about how it works? I'm desperate but cautious

Sure! You just go to the website, pick the dept you need to call, pay, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. Simple as that.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with this for months: 1. The "processed" status doesn't mean much. It's just the first step. 2. Payment dates usually show up 1-3 days before you actually get paid. 3. If you see benefit amounts, that's a good sign. It means your claim is approved. 4. Keep certifying every two weeks, even if you're not seeing payments yet. 5. Check your spam folder for emails from EDD. 6. If it's been more than 3 weeks since you filed, definitely try to call. Hope this helps someone! Hang in there, everyone.

Quick question - do you know if weekends count in that 3 week timeframe?

Good question! From what I understand, it's 3 calendar weeks, so weekends do count.

Overwhelmed? It's been TWO YEARS since the pandemic started. They've had plenty of time to fix this mess!

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative? I've heard that can sometimes help move things along.

I did this! Took about 2 weeks, but my rep's office was able to get things moving. Definitely worth a shot.

Just Google "[your city] state representative". Most have contact forms on their websites.
