EDD claim processed with weekly benefit but no payment received - how long to wait?

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. My unemployment claim status says it's processed with a weekly benefit amount, but I still haven't received any money. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to actually get paid after it showed as processed? I'm starting to worry that something went wrong.

Ugh, I feel you. I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. It took about 10 days after it showed as processed for me to actually see the money in my account. The waiting game is the worst part 😫

10 days?! That's so long 😭 I hope mine doesn't take that long, bills are piling up

consider yourself lucky! mine took almost 3 weeks 🙃

Yeah, it's rough. Hang in there OP! And @profile 2, wow 3 weeks is insane. This system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

Have you checked your payment method? Sometimes they default to debit card even if you requested direct deposit. Might be worth double-checking that.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone about this! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of frustration. The $20 was worth it to actually talk to a human and get my issue resolved.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they just keep redialing or what?

0 coins

Sure! It's an automated system that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone and connects you. No more endless hold music! 🎵🚫

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research: 1. Processing doesn't always mean immediate payment. There can be a delay of 1-3 weeks. 2. Make sure your claim is fully approved, not just processed. 3. Double-check your payment method (direct deposit vs debit card). 4. Verify that you've completed all necessary certifications. 5. Check for any pending identity verification issues. 6. Look for any messages or alerts in your online account. 7. If it's been more than 3 weeks, definitely try to contact them directly. Hope this helps! The system is frustratingly slow, but hang in there.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll go through each point and make sure I haven't missed anything.

I swear the EDD is run by sloths or something. Everything takes foreverrrrr 🦥

0 coins

Hey now, don't insult sloths like that! They're way more efficient than EDD 😆

Guys I'm telling you, its all a conspiracy. The government doesn't want us to get our money. Wake up sheeple! 👁️

Has anyone tried sacrificing a goat to the EDD gods? Asking for a friend...

Instructions unclear, accidentally summoned an EDD customer service rep 😱

QUICK ASK THEM ABOUT YOUR CLAIM

guys i think i found a loophole. if you call exactly at 8:01am while standing on one foot and humming the national anthem, you get through instantly

Can confirm, this works. Source: trust me bro

Instructions unclear, now I'm on hold with the FBI 😅

Just went through this exact same thing last month! My claim showed "processed" for about 2 weeks before I actually got paid. What helped me was logging into my account daily to check for any new messages or action items - turns out I had missed a small identity verification step that was buried in the notifications. Also, definitely confirm your payment method is set up correctly. The anxiety is real when you're waiting for that money to hit! Hang in there, it will come through eventually.
