EDD online application error after ID.me verification - help!
I'm having trouble with my EDD application online. After completing the ID.me verification, I tried to go back to the EDD website to finish my application, but I keep getting an error message. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to fix it or what to do next?

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. I had the same issue last month. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird website glitches.

•clearing cache didnt work for me. ended up having to use a different browser altogether. try that if the cache thing doesnt work

•Update: Tried both clearing cache and using a different browser. Still no luck 😩 This is so frustrating!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this service? Is it legit?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Was desperate after trying for weeks. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do 🤷♀️

•can you give more details about how it works? do they just keep calling until they get through?

•Yeah, basically they use some kind of auto-dialer that navigates the phone menu and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. Saved me hours of frustration.

Have you tried contacting your local assemblymember or state senator? They often have staff dedicated to helping with EDD issues. It's free and they can sometimes work miracles!

Ive been dealing with edd for 6 months now and let me tell you, its a nightmare. heres what I've learned: 1. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 2. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and attempts to log in. 3. Use social media. Sometimes tweeting at EDD can get their attention. 4. Consider reaching out to local news stations. They love stories about government incompetence. 5. Join Facebook groups for EDD claimants. Lots of good info there. 6. If all else fails, contact your state rep as someone else suggested. Hang in there, OP. I know its tough but dont give up!

I heard EDD is upgrading their systems this weekend. Maybe wait a few days and try again? Could just be temporary maintenance issues.

•Where did you hear this? I can't find any info about scheduled maintenance on their website.

•My bad, I might be mixing it up with something else. Don't quote me on that!

Not to be that guy, but are you sure you completed the ID.me verification correctly? Sometimes people think they've finished but missed a step. Double-check your ID.me account to make sure everything is green.

Hey OP, what exact error message are you getting? Might help to know the specifics.

•It just says "Error: Unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later." Super helpful, right? 🙄

•Oof, yeah that's not very informative. Classic EDD. Might be worth trying at different times of day, sometimes their system gets overloaded.

•@Nicole I'm dealing with the same thing! Been over a week now and still getting that generic error message. So frustrating. Have you tried any of the suggestions from this thread yet? I'm thinking about contacting my assemblymember like someone mentioned earlier.

I had this exact same issue last month! The ID.me verification completed fine, but then I couldn't get back into the EDD portal. What finally worked for me was waiting 24-48 hours after the ID.me verification before trying to access EDD again. Apparently there's some delay in their systems syncing up. Also try using an incognito/private browser window when you go back to the EDD site. Hope this helps!
