EDD website can't verify my identity - no changes or errors, what gives?

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with the EDD website. It keeps saying it can't verify my identity. I've tried everything I can think of - my documents are up to date, I haven't moved or changed my name, and I'm not getting any specific error messages. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any ideas on what could be causing it or how to fix it? I'm at my wits' end here.

I found a way to solve EDD identity verification issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXIDBCAGlBI

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD system is such a mess. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with weird website issues.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a try and see if it helps. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Good idea! Also, try using a different browser altogether. I had issues with Chrome but Firefox worked fine for me.

I had a similar problem last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system affecting a bunch of people. It eventually resolved itself after about a week. Maybe try calling them directly?

A week? Ugh, I can't wait that long. I guess I'll have to try calling. Thanks for the info!

Good luck calling EDD 🤣 You'll be on hold for hours if you even get through

Seriously, calling EDD is like trying to win the lottery. I spent 3 days trying to get through last time I had an issue.

Hey, I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you explain more about how it works? Do they just keep redialing until they get through?

Yeah, basically it uses an automated system to navigate the phone tree and stay on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. Super simple but effective.

Have you checked if there's any maintenance scheduled for the EDD website? Sometimes they do updates that can cause temporary issues with verification.

This might sound weird, but are you using any VPN or proxy? I had issues verifying my identity when I was using a VPN. Turned it off and it worked fine after that.

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that. I do use a VPN sometimes. I'll try disabling it and see if that helps. Thanks for the tip!

Alright, let me break this down for you. I've been dealing with EDD for years and here's what I've learned about identity verification issues: 1. Double-check all your info: Make sure every single piece of information matches exactly what's on your official documents. Even a slight discrepancy can cause problems. 2. Browser issues: As others have mentioned, try different browsers or clear your cache/cookies. 3. Timing matters: Sometimes the system gets overloaded. Try early morning or late night when fewer people are likely to be using the site. 4. Document upload: If you're uploading documents, make sure they're clear, not too large, and in the right format (usually PDF or JPEG). 5. Wait it out: Sometimes it's just a temporary glitch that resolves itself in a few days. 6. Contact EDD: If all else fails, you'll need to contact them directly. Use the contact form on their website or try calling (be prepared for long wait times). 7. Last resort: If nothing works, consider reaching out to your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. Hope this helps! Let us know if you make any progress.

Have you tried sacrificing a goat to the EDD gods? Might be more effective than actually using their website 🐐🔪
