EDD Error 313: ID Mismatch & Missing Last Name - Help!

I'm having trouble with my EDD account. There's an error 313 that keeps popping up, saying my ID doesn't match the info on my account. I called and they tried to transfer me to technical support, but tech support said EDD should handle it. I think the problem might be that one of my last names is missing from my EDD account. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get it fixed?

Ugh, classic EDD runaround. 🙄 I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried updating your personal info directly on the EDD website? Sometimes that helps sync things up.

I tried updating my info online, but it won't let me change my name. Says I need to verify my identity first, but I can't do that because of the error. It's like a catch-22 😫

Damn, that sucks. Sounds like youre stuck in bureaucracy hell. Maybe try reaching out to your local assembly member? They sometimes can cut through the red tape.

Error 313 is usually related to identity verification issues. Here's what you can try: 1. Double-check all your personal info on the EDD website 2. Make sure your name matches EXACTLY what's on your Social Security card 3. If you've changed your name recently, you might need to update it with Social Security first 4. Try uploading new identity documents if the system allows 5. Keep calling EDD and insist on speaking to someone in the identity verification department 6. As a last resort, contact your local state representative for help Hope this helps! Let us know if you make any progress.

This is great advice. I had a similar issue and updating my info with Social Security first did the trick. It took a few weeks to process tho, so be patient!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

I'm in the same boat, matey. Been dealing with EDD errors for months now. It's like trying to sail through a hurricane with a leaky rowboat. 🌊⛵

Oof, months? That's rough. How are you staying afloat financially?

It's been tough, ngl. Had to borrow from family and pick up some gig work. Just tryna keep my head above water til this gets sorted.

Hot take: the whole system is designed to be confusing on purpose. They make it hard so people give up and don't claim benefits. Stay strong and keep fighting, OP! 💪

Preach! 🙌 The system is rigged against us. We need to demand better from our government!

tldr; EDD's tech is from the stone age. They need to upgrade their systems ASAP. Until then, we're all just stuck playing their games. 🎮😤
