EDD E313 Error: Can't Validate Info for Family Leave Claim - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my Claimant Registration for Family Leave. Every time I try to fill out the Personal Information page, I get an error message saying 'E313: The system is unable to validate your information.' I've been trying to call EDD for over a week but no one's picking up. I received unemployment during the pandemic, and I'm wondering if that might be causing the issue. Has anyone else run into this problem or know how to fix it? I'm getting really frustrated and need to get this sorted out ASAP.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue when I was trying to file for disability last month. The EDD system is such a mess 🤦♀️ Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird glitches.

•True, but sometimes it's worth a shot. Can't hurt to try, right? 🤷♀️

I've been dealing with EDD for months now, and let me tell you, it's a nightmare. Here's what I've learned: 1. Keep calling. I know it sucks, but persistence is key. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning or late afternoon sometimes works better. 3. Check your personal info on your EDD account. Make sure everything matches your ID exactly. 4. If you can, try applying on a different device or browser. 5. Document everything. Screenshot errors, write down call times, etc. 6. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there, OP. The system is broken, but don't give up!

Have you tried using claimyr.com? I was in the same boat, couldn't get through for weeks. Then I found this site that calls EDD for you, waits on hold, and connects you when they get a live agent. It costs $20 but honestly, it was worth every penny for me. Here's a video explaining how it works: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. Yeah, it sucks to pay, but after wasting hours trying to get through, I was desperate. It's not a scam, just a service. Up to you if you think it's worth it.

•I used it too! Saved me so much time and stress. Sometimes you gotta spend money to save money (or in this case, get your benefits) 🤷♂️

E313 error? Classic EDD move 🙄 Have you checked if your name, DOB, and SSN on your EDD account match your ID exactly? Sometimes even a small discrepancy can cause this.

Hey OP, quick question - did you update any of your personal info recently? I had a similar issue when I changed my address. Took forever to get it sorted out.

•Now that you mention it, I did update my phone number a few weeks ago. I wonder if that could be causing the problem? 🤔

•That could definitely be it! The system sometimes has trouble syncing updated info. Might be worth mentioning when you finally get through to someone.

I had the exact same E313 error when I tried to file for PFL a few months ago! It turned out that my previous unemployment claim from 2021 was still showing as "active" in their system even though it had been closed for ages. What finally worked for me was getting through to a specialist (took about 3 weeks of calling) who had to manually clear my old claim before I could proceed with the family leave application. Also, make sure you're using the exact same SSN format and spelling of your name as when you first registered with EDD - their system is super picky about that stuff. Don't give up, you'll get through this! 💪

•@Ravi Malhotra This is super helpful! I think you might be onto something with the old unemployment claim still being active. That would explain why I m'having issues since I did file for unemployment during the pandemic. Did the specialist have to do anything special to clear it, or was it just a simple system update on their end? Really appreciate you sharing your experience - gives me hope that there s'actually a solution! 🙏

I'm dealing with something similar right now! Been stuck on the same E313 error for about 10 days. What's really frustrating is that I can log into my EDD account just fine, but the moment I try to start a new PFL claim, boom - error message. I've tried different browsers, cleared everything, even tried on my phone and tablet. Nothing works. Reading through these comments, it sounds like there might be some backend issues with how their system handles people who've had previous claims. Really hoping I don't have to wait 3 weeks to get through to someone who can actually fix this! Has anyone had luck with the early morning calling strategy that @Esmeralda Gómez mentioned?

•I'm so sorry you're dealing with this too! I just joined this community because I'm having the exact same E313 error - it's so frustrating when you can log in fine but can't actually file your claim. I tried the early morning calling around 8 AM yesterday and actually got through to the automated system faster, but still couldn't reach a human. Going to keep trying though! Have you noticed if the error message gives any additional details, or is it just the generic "unable to validate" text? Maybe we can figure out a pattern between all of us having this issue.

I'm dealing with the exact same E313 error right now! Just found this community while desperately searching for solutions. Like you, I can log into my EDD account fine, but the moment I try to start my PFL claim, I get that "unable to validate information" message. I also received unemployment benefits in 2020, so there might definitely be a connection there based on what others are saying. I've been trying to call for days with no luck - the hold times are insane! Going to try some of the suggestions here like the early morning calling and checking if my info matches exactly. Thanks for posting this - at least now I know I'm not the only one struggling with this broken system! 😤

•Welcome to the club of E313 error sufferers! 😅 It's oddly comforting to know there are others dealing with this exact same issue. The fact that multiple people with previous unemployment claims are experiencing this makes me think @Ravi Malhotra might be right about old claims causing conflicts in the system. I m'definitely going to try the early morning calling strategy tomorrow - maybe we can all coordinate and share what times work best? Also thinking about documenting everything like @Esmeralda Gómez suggested in case I need to escalate this. Hang in there, hopefully we can all get through this nightmare together! 💪

Just wanted to jump in and say I'm experiencing the EXACT same E313 error! I've been banging my head against the wall for almost two weeks now. Like many of you, I also had unemployment benefits during COVID (2020-2021) and I'm starting to think that's definitely the common thread here. I tried calling 833-978-2511 this morning at 7:58 AM and actually got through the automated system faster than usual, but still couldn't reach a human. The frustrating part is that when I log into my regular EDD account, everything looks normal - it's only when I try to start the PFL claim that it crashes with this validation error. One thing I noticed that might be helpful - when I checked my account profile, my old unemployment claim from 2021 still shows up in my "claim history" even though it's been closed for years. Based on what @Ravi Malhotra shared about needing a specialist to manually clear old claims, I think that might be our smoking gun. Has anyone tried reaching out to their local assembly member's office yet? I'm considering that next if I can't get through by phone this week. This whole situation is such a mess but at least we're all in it together! 😤

•OMG yes! I'm so glad I found this thread - I've been dealing with the exact same E313 error for over a week now and was starting to think I was going crazy! 😩 Like everyone else here, I also had unemployment during COVID (2020) and can log into my regular EDD account just fine, but the PFL claim process crashes every single time with that validation error. @Javier Morales your point about the old claim still showing in claim history is really interesting - mine shows the same thing! I m'definitely going to try the early morning calling strategy and might reach out to my assembly member if this keeps up. Thanks for sharing the phone number too - I ve'been using the general EDD line but maybe the PFL-specific one will work better. It s'weirdly reassuring to know there are so many of us dealing with this exact issue! 🤞

I'm having the exact same E313 error issue! Been trying for about 5 days now and it's driving me crazy. Just like everyone else here, I also received unemployment benefits back in 2020-2021, so there's definitely a pattern here. What's really annoying is that I can access my regular EDD account without any problems, but the second I try to start my PFL claim, boom - validation error. I've tried all the usual stuff (different browsers, clearing cache, different devices) but nothing works. Reading through all these comments, it really sounds like @Ravi Malhotra hit the nail on the head about old unemployment claims still being "active" in their system somehow. I checked my claim history and yep, my 2021 claim is still listed there even though it's been closed forever. Going to try the early morning calling strategy tomorrow and see if I can get through to someone who actually knows how to fix this backend mess. Thanks for posting this thread OP - at least now I know I'm not alone in this EDD nightmare! 🤦♀️

•Welcome to the E313 error support group! 😅 I just joined this community today because I'm having the exact same issue - it's honestly both frustrating and relieving to see so many people experiencing this identical problem. I've been stuck on this validation error for about a week now, and like everyone else, I also had unemployment benefits during COVID (2020). The pattern is so clear at this point! @Mei Lin I m'definitely going to try that early morning calling strategy too - maybe we should all coordinate and share what times work best? Also thinking about documenting everything with screenshots in case I need to escalate this to my assembly member s'office. Thanks @Ravi Malhotra for sharing your experience about the old claim needing to be manually cleared - that gives me hope there s actually'a real solution to this mess! 🙏

Just joined this community because I'm having the EXACT same E313 error! Been stuck on this for about 6 days now and I was starting to lose my mind thinking I was the only one. Like literally everyone else here, I also had unemployment benefits during COVID (2020-2021) and can log into my regular EDD account just fine, but the moment I try to file my PFL claim - validation error every single time. Reading through all these comments has been both frustrating and oddly comforting 😅 The pattern is so obvious now! @Ravi Malhotra your experience about the old unemployment claim still being "active" in the system makes total sense - I just checked and my 2021 claim is still showing in my claim history too even though it's been closed for ages. I'm definitely going to try the early morning calling strategy that @Esmeralda Gómez mentioned and see if I can get through to a specialist who can manually clear whatever backend mess is causing this. Also going to start documenting everything with screenshots like you suggested in case I need to escalate to my assembly member's office. Thanks for creating this thread OP - it's honestly such a relief to know there are so many of us dealing with this identical issue. The EDD system is clearly broken but at least we're not going through this nightmare alone! 🤞

•I literally just created an account because I'm having this EXACT same E313 error! This thread is like finding my people 😭 I've been stuck on this validation error for about 4 days now and was going absolutely insane thinking something was wrong with me. Just like everyone else here, I also got unemployment during COVID (2020) and can log into my regular EDD account perfectly fine, but PFL claim? Nope, crashes every time. @Keisha Robinson @Ravi Malhotra I just checked my claim history and sure enough, my old 2020 unemployment claim is still sitting there even though it s been'done for years! This has to be the issue. I m going'to start calling first thing tomorrow morning and try to get through to someone who can manually clear this mess. Also screenshotting everything just in case I need to get my assembly member involved. Thank you all SO much for sharing your experiences - I was seriously starting to think I was losing my mind! The fact that we all have the exact same error AND the same COVID unemployment history can t be'a coincidence. Here s hoping'we can all get this sorted out soon! 🙏

•Welcome to the E313 error club! 😅 I just joined this community today because I'm having the exact same validation error - been stuck on it for about 3 days now and was starting to panic that something was seriously wrong with my application. Like literally everyone else in this thread, I also had unemployment benefits during COVID (2020) and can access my regular EDD account just fine, but the PFL claim crashes every single time with that same "unable to validate information" message.
