EDD hasn't responded to my mailed ID verification after a week - what now?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I sent in my address verification and proof of ID to EDD via overnight USPS with tracking. My USPS tracking says it was delivered on Feb 13th at 9am, but I still haven't heard anything back from EDD. It's been over a week now. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, classic EDD. They're always slow af. I sent my docs in like a month ago and still crickets. 🦗 Hang in there, buddy.

A month?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

Lol, calling EDD? Might as well try to call the moon. 🌙 Been on hold for hours, no luck.

Same boat here. It's like they're purposely making it hard for us to get help. 🙄

Pro tip: keep ALL your receipts and tracking info. You might need it later if they claim they never received your docs. EDD's a mess rn.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 to talk to EDD? That's highway robbery! 😤

I get it, but tbh it was worth it for me. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what I'd do: 1. Call EDD first thing in the morning, right when they open. Less wait time. 2. If that fails, try contacting your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite things. 3. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. 4. Check your UI Online account regularly for any updates. 5. If it's been more than 10 business days, consider sending another set of documents. Remember, persistence is key with EDD. Don't give up!

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling first thing tomorrow.

This is solid advice. The assembly member trick worked for me when I was stuck in EDD limbo for months.

I swear EDD is run by sloths or something. 🦥 Took them 3 months to process my claim last year. The system is broken af.

Sloths? More like snails! 🐌 EDD moves at a glacial pace.

Hey OP, quick question - did you send it to the right address? There are different addresses for different types of claims. Just wanna make sure you didn't strike out on a technicality.

Oh man, now you've got me worried. I'll double-check the address I sent it to. Thanks for the heads up!

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should cut EDD some slack? They're probably swamped with claims rn. Just saying... 🤷‍♂️

Nice try, EDD employee! 😂

Lol, I wish! At least then I'd know what's going on with my own claim. 😅
