EDD hasn't responded 2 weeks after receiving address verification and ID proof. Normal wait time?
I sent in my address verification and proof of ID to EDD through mail. My USPS tracking says it was delivered on Feb 13th at 9am. It's been almost two weeks and I still haven't heard anything back from EDD. Has anyone else experienced this? How long does it usually take for them to process these documents?

Ugh, welcome to the club. I sent mine in over a month ago and still crickets. EDD is slower than molasses in January 🐌

•A month?! That's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them?

•Tried calling about 50 times. Either busy signal or get disconnected after waiting for hours. It's a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Here's what I've learned from my experience with EDD: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all paperwork you send. 2. Follow up regularly. Call or use their online portal to check status. 3. Be persistent. Sometimes you have to contact them multiple times. 4. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite things. 5. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. It sucks, but you gotta stay on top of it. The squeaky wheel gets the grease with these bureaucrats.

•Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my assembly member. Didn't even think of that.

I heard they're super backlogged because of all the fraud cases they're dealing with. Might be why it's taking so long. Hang in there!

Pro tip: If you can, try faxing your documents instead of mailing. Seems to go through faster in my experience.
