EDD Debit Card MIA: Weeks since applying, still no card in mail. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my EDD debit card. It's been weeks since I applied and I still haven't received it in the mail. I'm starting to worry it got lost or something. Has anyone else dealt with this? I've tried calling EDD but it's impossible to get through to a real person. Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve EDD debit card delivery delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uBlVX9mCFg

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through the same thing last month. It's so frustrating! Have you tried checking the status of your card online? Sometimes they have updates there that aren't available over the phone.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try checking online, but it just says 'card issued' without any other details. It's been saying that for weeks now 😫

Pro tip: if it says 'card issued' online, it usually means they've mailed it out. Might be worth contacting USPS to see if there's any issues with mail delivery in your area.

I had this exact problem! Turns out my card was sent to an old address. Double check that EDD has your current mailing address on file. If it's correct, you might need to request a replacement card.

This whole system is a joke. Why can't they just do direct deposit like a normal organization? 🤡 I swear EDD is stuck in the stone age.

Preach! 🙌 It's 2023, who even uses debit cards anymore? Get with the times, EDD!

Actually, they do offer direct deposit now. You just have to set it up once you get your card and account info.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! EDD should be ashamed that people have to pay extra just to talk to them.

I get the skepticism, but honestly, it was worth every penny for me. Saved me hours of frustration and I finally got my issue resolved.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your address online and make sure it's correct 2. If it's been more than 10 business days since your card was issued, call Bank of America EDD debit card customer service at 1-866-692-9374 3. If BoA says they sent the card, file a lost mail claim with USPS 4. If all else fails, you may need to request a replacement card. But be warned, this can take another 7-10 business days Hang in there! The system sucks, but you'll get your money eventually.

This should be pinned at the top of the subreddit tbh. So many people have this same issue.

I'm in the same boat, been waiting for my card for over a month now. This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to pay bills without access to our benefits?

It's almost like they don't want us to get our money 🤔

Hang in there! It'll come eventually. In the meantime, have you looked into any local resources for emergency assistance?
