EDD Debit Card Delay: No Card After 24+ Hours - What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated. It's been over a day since I was supposed to receive my EDD debit card and still nothing. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? I'm starting to worry that something might have gone wrong with my claim. Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through the same thing last month. It took almost two weeks for my card to arrive. EDD is seriously dropping the ball these days 🙄

•Two weeks?! That's insane. Did you try calling them or anything?

•Yeah, I tried calling but couldn't get through. Spent hours on hold and gave up. Eventually it just showed up in the mail 🤷♀️

•This is why I always tell ppl to set up direct deposit asap. Avoid the whole debit card mess altogether!

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there's info there about when the card was mailed out. Might give you a better idea of when to expect it.

One day isn't that long tbh. I'd give it at least a week before really worrying. The mail can be slow af sometimes.

•A week?! But I need that money now. Bills don't wait just because EDD is slow 😫

•I get it, but stressing won't make it come any faster. Maybe see if you can get an extension on your bills?

Listen up, I've been through this rodeo before and I've got some tips for you: 1. First, don't panic. One day is nothing in EDD time. 2. Check your claim status online daily. Sometimes they update info there before anywhere else. 3. Make sure your address is correct in the system. You'd be surprised how often this is the issue. 4. If it's been more than 10 business days since your claim was approved, THEN start calling. 5. When you do call, be prepared for a long wait. Have all your info ready. 6. If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via social media. Sometimes they respond there. 7. As a last resort, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. Hang in there, OP. The system sucks, but you'll get your money eventually.

Guys, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Nah, it's legit. I was skeptical too but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time.

•20 bucks tho? That's steep when ur already broke and waiting for benefits 😬

•True, but for me it was worth it to finally get answers. Cheaper than taking a day off work to sit on hold tbh

Hey OP, have you tried calling Bank of America directly? Sometimes they have more info about the card status than EDD does.

•I didn't even think of that! Good idea, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Anybody else miss the old days when we just got paper checks? Sure, it was slow, but at least it was reliable.
