EDD Debit Card Never Arrived - What to Do?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my debit card. I applied for benefits a while ago and still haven't received my card in the mail. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next? I'm getting worried because I really need access to my funds.

Ugh, I've been there. It's so frustrating! Have you checked that they have your correct address on file? Sometimes that's the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm pretty sure my address is correct, but I'll definitely double-check when I talk to them.

Good idea! I had a similar problem and it turned out they had my old address. Once I updated it, the card came within a week.

Address mixups happen way too often with these guys 🙄 You'd think they'd have a better system by now!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds interesting, but $20? Is it really worth it?

For me it was. I spent hours trying to get through on my own. This saved me so much time and stress.

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They even have a money-back guarantee if you don't get connected.

Have you tried calling their customer service? Sometimes you can request a new card over the phone.

I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever 😫

Same here. Their phone system is a joke. I swear they do it on purpose to discourage people from calling. 🤬

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling every day. I know it sucks, but persistence is key. 2. Check your online account if you have one. Sometimes there's info there about card status. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing or even sending a physical letter. 4. As a last resort, you might be able to go to a local office in person. 5. Document everything - dates you called, emails you sent, etc. 6. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there! The system is frustrating, but don't give up. You'll get your money eventually.

Have you checked if there's an option to switch to direct deposit instead? Might be faster than waiting for a card.

That's a good idea! I'll look into that option. Thanks!
