PFL Debit Card MIA - Weeks of Waiting, No Benefits Access. Help!
Has anyone else not received their paid family leave debit card? I've been waiting for weeks and still nothing. Starting to get worried about accessing my benefits. Any advice on how to follow up or what might be causing the delay?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been over a month for me and still no card. Called them like 5 times but keep getting the runaround. This system is so broken 🤬

•A month?! That's ridiculous. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up.

I finally got mine after 6 weeks. Turns out they had my old address on file even tho I updated it online. Double check your info is correct in the system!

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. Costs $20 but totally worth it for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds sketchy. How do you know it's legit?

•I was skeptical too, but it worked for me. They only charge if you get connected to an agent. Saved me hours of hold time.

•$20 to talk to someone at a government agency we pay taxes for? That's messed up. 🤡

•I hear ya, but when you're missing out on benefits you need, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤷♂️

Here's what worked for me: 1. Check your claim status online daily 2. If it says 'card issued', wait 5-7 business days 3. If no card after that, call the EDD debit card support line (not regular EDD) 4. Be prepared with your claim ID and last 4 of SSN 5. Ask them to confirm mailing address and reissue if needed Hope this helps someone! Took me forever to figure this out.

•They do offer direct deposit tho? You have to set it up on the website.

Just a heads up, there was a news article last week about delays in card production due to a supplier issue. Might explain why so many of us are waiting. They said it should be resolved in the next 2-3 weeks.
