Never received DSS benefits card - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my benefits card. I never received it in the mail and I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Ugh, been there done that. First thing you should do is call DSS and confirm they actually sent it out. Sometimes they mess up the address or it gets lost in the mail. Here's what I'd say: "Hi, I haven't gotten my benefits card yet. Can you check if it was sent and verify my address?" Good luck!

ā¢Thanks for the advice! I'll give that a try. Did you have to wait long on hold when you called?

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/NXjJFZObk3g

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. How does it actually work?

ā¢It's legit! You just put in your phone number and they call you when they get an agent. Saved me hours of hold time.

Have you tried checking the online portal? Sometimes you can see if the card has been issued or not. Might save you a phone call.

PSA: If you're having trouble with your benefits card, here's what you need to do: ⢠First, check your online account (if you have one) to see the status of your card ⢠If that doesn't help, call DSS directly ⢠When you call, have your personal info ready (SSN, address, etc.) ⢠Ask them to confirm when the card was sent and to what address ⢠If it was sent but you didn't receive it, request a replacement ⢠Make sure they have your current address on file ⢠Ask about expedited shipping options if available ⢠If you're in dire need, ask about temporary alternatives (like a paper check) Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up if you don't get through the first time. Good luck everyone!
