EBT Income Reporting Issue: Called Wrong State, What Now?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my EBT and income reporting. I called the number I was given, but the people who answered were from a different state than what I expected. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if I should call again or what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, that sucks! The EBT system is such a mess sometimes. I had a similar issue last month where I kept getting transferred to the wrong department. It's so frustrating when you just need to get some simple questions answered. Have you tried calling again?

•I haven't tried calling again yet. I'm worried about wasting more time on hold only to get the wrong people again. 😩 Did you eventually get through to the right department?

•Yeah, I did eventually get through, but it took like 3 tries and hours on hold. Such a pain. Maybe try calling first thing in the morning? That seemed to work better for me.

•Pro tip: use *67 before dialing. Sometimes it helps you bypass the long wait times. idk why but it works for me 🤷♂️

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/iYFSA6RTlOI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•$20??? That's crazy expensive just to talk to someone about our benefits. The system is so broken 😡

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. And yeah, it sucks to pay, but I was desperate after weeks of trying to get through.

Have you tried checking your case status online? Sometimes you can find the info you need without calling. Just a thought!

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they want us to give up. Stay strong and keep trying, we're all in this boat together.

•Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help cut through the red tape.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EBT and income reporting issues: 1. Always document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. 2. If possible, try to do everything online. It's often faster and there's a paper trail. 3. Be persistent. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get the right person. 4. Check if your state has a specific EBT helpline or chat support. 5. Consider reaching out to a local food bank or community organization. They often have resources to help navigate the system. 6. If all else fails, contact your local government representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Remember, you're entitled to these benefits. Don't let the bureaucracy discourage you!

Has anyone had luck with the mobile app? I heard they updated it recently but idk if it's any better for reporting income changes.

•I tried it last week. It's a bit better, but still glitchy. Better than being on hold for hours tho!
