When can I expect my Washington ESD unemployment payment after filing weekly claim?

I use Chase and usually get it by Tuesday night. This is the first time it's been this delayed.

Chase has been having some delays with unemployment deposits lately. I'd give it until Friday before contacting Washington ESD.

Did you have to do anything or did it just show up eventually?

Actually that sounds really useful. I've been trying to call Washington ESD for three days about a payment issue and keep getting disconnected.

I checked and it just says 'payment issued' with yesterday's date. No delay codes or anything.

That's actually good news. If it says payment issued, it means Washington ESD has sent it to your bank. The delay is probably on your bank's side.

YES twice last year! Had to file a missing payment claim both times. Took weeks to get resolved.

Yep, Washington ESD processes claims in batches. Earlier you file in the weekly period, earlier you get paid.

I always file Sunday morning so that's probably why I usually get it Tuesday night.

The ReliaCard system is separate from direct deposit. You'd need to contact US Bank about card issues, not Washington ESD.

No express option. The ReliaCard debit card is sometimes slightly faster than direct deposit, but not by much.

Might switch to the card then. This waiting around is stressful.

First payments often take longer because Washington ESD has to verify everything. Can take up to 10 business days for initial payment.

Like 8 minutes total. Way better than the 2 hours I spent on hold yesterday before getting disconnected.
