Why didn't my Washington ESD unemployment deposit today - missing payment
I usually get my unemployment payment deposited every Tuesday but nothing showed up today. I filed my weekly claim on Sunday like always and it went through fine. My account still shows active and I haven't gotten any notices about issues. Has anyone else had their Washington ESD payment delayed this week? I'm really worried something went wrong with my claim.

•At least I'm not the only one. Wonder if there's a system delay or something?

•Mine didn't come either. This is stressing me out because I have rent due tomorrow.

Payment delays can happen for several reasons. First, check your payment history on the Washington ESD website to see if there's a hold or issue with your claim. Sometimes adjudication issues pop up even if you don't get immediate notice. Also verify your direct deposit information hasn't changed.

•I checked my payment history and it just shows 'processed' for this week. No holds or anything weird.

•Mine shows processed too but still no money in my account

I had this exact problem last month and couldn't get through to Washington ESD on the phone. Kept getting the busy signal or getting disconnected after waiting forever. Finally used Claimyr to get connected to an actual person. Turns out there was a verification issue they needed to resolve. Check out claimyr.com - they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works.

•How much does that cost? I'm already tight on money and can't afford expensive services.

•It's worth it when you consider how much time you save not calling over and over. Plus if there's an issue with your claim, getting it fixed fast is more important than the cost.

•Never heard of this service before. Seems sketchy to me. Why would you need to pay someone to make a phone call?

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!! They make us jump through hoops every week then don't even pay us on time. I've been dealing with Washington ESD for 6 months and it's been nothing but problems. They need to fix their damn computers.

•I feel your frustration but yelling won't help. We all need to work together to figure out what's going on.

Before panicking, remember that bank processing times can vary. If Washington ESD processed your payment on Monday, it might not show up until Wednesday depending on your bank. However, if you normally receive it on Tuesdays, this could indicate a processing delay on their end.

•I've been getting payments on Tuesdays for 3 months now, so this is definitely unusual.

•My credit union usually processes faster than big banks. Still nothing today though.

I called Washington ESD this morning and after 2 hours on hold finally got through. The agent said there's a system update happening that's causing payment delays. She said payments should process by Thursday at the latest.

•Thank god! I was starting to think something was wrong with my claim. Thursday is cutting it close for my bills though.

this happened to me last year during a holiday week. payments were delayed by 2 days because of the system maintenance. you should get it soon

•That's reassuring. I wish they would send out notices about stuff like this.

If your payment doesn't arrive by Thursday, I'd recommend using that Claimyr service mentioned earlier. Sometimes there are hidden issues with claims that only show up when you talk to an agent directly. Better to find out sooner rather than later if there's a problem.

•I used Claimyr a few weeks ago when my claim got stuck in adjudication. Saved me probably 20+ hours of trying to call. Worth every penny.

•Still think it's weird to pay for something that should be free. But I guess if it works...

My sister works at a bank and she said they've been seeing delays from Washington ESD all week. Something about their payment processing system being updated. Should be back to normal next week.

Just got off the phone with Washington ESD (finally!). They confirmed there's a system delay affecting payments processed Monday and Tuesday. All delayed payments should be released by end of business Thursday. No action needed on our part.

this is exactly why i keep track of every payment date and amount in a spreadsheet. helps me notice patterns and delays faster

•That's actually a really good idea. I should start doing that too.

For future reference, Washington ESD usually posts system maintenance notices on their website. Check the homepage for any alerts before assuming there's a problem with your individual claim.

•I checked their website this morning and didn't see anything about maintenance. Maybe they don't always post notices?

•Sometimes they're not great about posting timely notices. Social media accounts might have more current info.

Glad this worked out for everyone. Just shows how important it is to have multiple ways to contact Washington ESD when issues come up. That Claimyr thing sounds useful for when the phone lines are impossible.
