What time does Washington ESD unemployment office open for calls?
I've been trying to call Washington ESD for weeks about my pending claim but can never get through. Does anyone know what time their phone lines actually open? The website says 8am but I've been calling at 8:05 and it's always busy. Are there better times to call or am I missing something?

Washington ESD customer service opens at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday. But honestly, getting through is nearly impossible. The phone lines get jammed within minutes of opening because so many people are trying to call.

•So I should be calling right at 8 AM sharp? I've been trying around 9 or 10 AM thinking that would be better.

•Yeah definitely try right at 8 AM, but even then it's really hit or miss. The system gets overwhelmed fast.

The customer service lines open at 8am sharp Monday through Friday. But here's the thing - you need to start dialing at exactly 7:59am because thousands of people are trying to get through right when they open.

•I tried that yesterday and still couldn't get through. How long should I keep trying?

•Sometimes it takes 30-40 redials in the first hour. The system is overwhelmed right now with all the claims.

The phone lines open at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday, but you're competing with thousands of other people calling at the same time. I usually start dialing at 7:58 AM and keep hitting redial.

The phone lines officially open at 8am but good luck getting through. I've been calling for 2 weeks about my adjudication and haven't reached a human yet.

I've been calling Washington ESD every day for 3 weeks and only got through once. Even when I call at exactly 8 AM it's usually busy. The unemployment system is just overwhelmed right now.

Washington ESD customer service opens at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday. However, call volume is extremely high, especially on Mondays and after holidays. Your best bet is to call right at 8am or try later in the week around Wednesday-Thursday.

•You can also try the online messaging system through your SecureAccess Washington account, but response times are slow there too.

Washington ESD customer service is open 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. However, getting through is extremely difficult during peak hours (8-10 AM and 1-3 PM). The system automatically disconnects you if call volume is too high.

Actually found something that helped me get through to Washington ESD when I was having the same problem. There's a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that calls for you and waits on hold until they get an agent, then connects you. Saved me hours of trying to call myself. They have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ

The Washington ESD phone system is absolutely broken. I've called hundreds of times over the past 2 months and gotten through maybe 3 times total. Even when you do get through, sometimes they hang up on you accidentally or the call drops.

The whole system is broken. They expect us to call during business hours when most of us are looking for work or at our part-time jobs. It's ridiculous.

I work in customer service and what Washington ESD really needs is more staff and better phone systems. When you have thousands of people calling the same number at 8 AM every day, of course the system crashes. They need multiple phone numbers or a callback system.

The hold times are crazy long even if you do get through. I waited 2 hours last month just to ask about my weekly claim certification.

•At least you got through! I've never made it past the busy signal.

Try calling right at 8am but if that doesn't work, honestly just use a service like Claimyr. I wasted weeks trying to call myself when I could have just had them do it for me from the start.

•Smart choice. Would have saved me so much frustration if I'd known about it sooner.
