Unemployment on hold - TWC needs info about new job start date. Help!

Ugh, I've been there. The unemployment office can be such a pain sometimes. Have you tried calling them to provide the information they need?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Make sure you document everything! Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them and any info you provide. It might come in handy later if there are any disputes.

Have you tried using their online portal to update your information? Sometimes that's faster than calling.

This happened to me last year. Here's what I did: 1. Gathered all my employment docs, including offer letter with start date 2. Wrote a clear, concise explanation of my situation 3. Faxed everything to their office (yes, fax still works!) 4. Followed up with calls until I got through It took about a week, but they finally cleared the hold. Good luck!

The whole system is broken. We shouldnt have to jump through hoops just to get our benefits. Its ridiculous!
