Florida DEO unemployment payments on hold - can't reach anyone for help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment payments. They're still on hold and I can't seem to get through to anyone at the Florida unemployment office. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last month. It's so frustrating when you cant get ahold of anyone! Have you tried calling right when they open? That worked for me after like 50 tries 🙄

•I've tried that but no luck. It's always busy or I get disconnected. How long did it take for you to finally get through?

•It took me about a week of trying every morning. Keep at it! Eventually you'll get lucky and catch someone.

•A week? You got lucky! I've been trying for a month straight with no luck. This system is a joke 🤡

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's ridiculous. The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

•Can you explain more about how it works? Is it legit?

•Sure! Basically, it uses an automated system to navigate the phone menu and wait on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone and connects you. It's like having a robot assistant do the waiting for you.

Have you checked your CONNECT account? Sometimes there's additional info or documents they need that they don't tell you about. Worth double-checking before you spend hours trying to call.

This is why we need to vote for better leadership. The unemployment system in Florida has been a disaster for years and nobody seems to care about fixing it. 😤

•Yeah but good luck with that. Politicians only care about us during election season 🙄

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call exactly at 7:30 AM when they open 2. If you get a busy signal, hang up and redial immediately 3. Keep doing this until you get into the queue 4. Once in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long the wait 5. Have all your info ready (claim ID, SSN, etc.) 6. Be polite to the rep, they're dealing with angry people all day It took me about 2 hours of redialing, but I finally got through. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: use multiple phones if you can to increase your chances of getting through.

•For real. It's almost like they make it difficult on purpose so people give up.

•Conspiracy theory: they're hoping we'll all just go away so they can keep the money 👀

Pro tip: if you have a friend or family member who speaks another language, try the non-English phone lines. They often have shorter wait times and the reps usually speak English too.
