TWC says I'm ineligible with no explanation - What to do?

I just checked my unemployment status for this week and it says I'm ineligible, but there's no explanation why. I haven't received any notices or letters about it. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?

Ugh, that sucks. The TWC system can be so frustrating sometimes. Have you tried logging into your account and checking for any messages or updates there? Sometimes they don't send physical letters anymore.

Yeah, I checked my online account but there's nothing new there either. It's like they just decided I'm ineligible out of nowhere 🤔

Classic TWC move. They probably messed up on their end and now you gotta jump through hoops to fix it. Good luck getting anyone on the phone tho 🙄

This happened to me last month! Turns out there was a glitch in their system that marked a bunch of people ineligible by mistake. I had to call them to get it sorted out. It took forever to get through, but they fixed it pretty quick once I finally talked to someone.

Oh man, I hope that's what happened to me too. How long did it take you to get through on the phone?

Honestly, it took me like 3 days of constant calling. I started dialing the second they opened and just kept redialing all day. It was a nightmare 😫

3 days?! ain't nobody got time for that 💀

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your TWC account for any new messages or status updates 2. Review your recent claims to make sure you didn't accidentally report something incorrectly 3. Check if you've reached your benefit year end date 4. Look for any changes in your employment status that might affect eligibility 5. Try to contact TWC through their online chat system (sometimes faster than calling) 6. If all else fails, you'll need to call them directly Remember, sometimes these issues are just system glitches that get resolved on their own. But it's always better to be proactive and try to get in touch with them. Good luck!

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely go through this checklist. Really appreciate the help 🙏

Great advice! I'd add one more thing: document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of when you check your account, any error messages you see, and all your attempts to contact TWC. It might come in handy later.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 to avoid hours on hold? Sign me up! 🙌

idk man, seems kinda sketchy. has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it's a real service. They even have reviews on Trustpilot if you want to check. Honestly, it was worth every penny for me.

have you tried turning it off and on again? 🤣

This is why we need to overhaul the entire unemployment system. It's a joke that people have to deal with this kind of stress when they're already struggling. Vote for politicians who actually care about fixing these broken systems!

Preach! 🙌 The system is so outdated, it's ridiculous. We're in 2023 and they're running on 1990s tech.

Yeah but good luck getting any politicians to care about unemployment unless there's another pandemic 🙄

Oof, been there done that. TWC and their mysterious ways 🔮 Hang in there OP, hopefully it's just a glitch in the matrix

I had something similar happen to me a few months ago. It turned out I had missed answering one of those weekly certification questions correctly - I think it was the one about being "able and available" for work. Even though I thought I answered everything right, apparently there was some discrepancy. My advice: go back through your last few weekly certifications and double-check every single answer. Sometimes it's something really small like saying you worked a day when you meant to say you didn't, or vice versa. Also check if there are any pending issues in your account that might not be showing up prominently. If you can't find anything obvious, definitely call them. The wait times are brutal but it's really the only way to get a real answer about what's going on with your claim.

This is super helpful advice! I never thought to go back and check my weekly certifications that carefully. You're probably right that it could be something small like that. I'm going to go through them with a fine-tooth comb before I try calling. Thanks for sharing your experience!
