TWC Direct Deposit vs Debit Card - how long for funds to appear after payment request?

I just got my TWC ReliaCard last week and filed my first payment request at exactly midnight on Tuesday (my designated filing day). I'm getting anxious because it's still not showing up in my payment activity on the TWC portal. Is there typically a 48-hour processing time before it posts? \n\nUPDATE: Checked again and the TWC site now shows the deposit as "posted 10/9" but there's still no money on my ReliaCard. How much longer do I have to wait before the funds actually become available on the card? Has anyone dealt with this timing issue before? I've got bills coming due and am getting nervous...

the system is always slow as MOLASSES!!! I've been dealing with this garbage for months. they'll show a deposit date but then the money takes ANOTHER 1-2 business days to actually hit your card!!! it's ridiculous!!

So even though it says posted on 10/9, it might not show up until tomorrow or even Friday? That's frustrating.

Based on my experience with the TWC ReliaCard, there's a consistent pattern to the timing. When your payment request is processed, it typically shows as

If you're in urgent need to speak with someone at TWC about this or future payments, I'd recommend using Claimyr. I was in the same boat last month, getting anxious about my payment not showing up. Kept calling TWC but couldn't get through. Claimyr got me connected to a TWC agent within 30 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own. They have a video showing how it works at https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh and their website is claimyr.com. Totally worth it for my peace of mind!

Is it really worth paying for that tho? Like cant you just keep calling TWC yourself?

After spending 6 hours over 3 days repeatedly calling and getting disconnected, it was absolutely worth it to me. Time is money, especially when you're stressing about bills coming due!

Thank you for the detailed breakdown! I'll definitely consider switching to direct deposit if the card continues to be this slow. Just didn't want to mess anything up with my first payment.

This happened to my sister last month too. The TWC website showed payment posted but nothing on her card for like 3 days. She called the ReliaCard customer service and they said they could see the pending deposit in their system but it hadn't fully processed. Try calling them directly if you're worried.

Yes, this!! The ReliaCard people can often see pending deposits before they actually show up in your available balance. Their customer service is actually way better than TWC's in my experience.

Just to follow up - how is your situation now? Did the payment show up on your ReliaCard yet? The standard processing time has passed since your post, so I'm curious if everything worked out as expected. This information could help others with similar concerns.

Yes! The money finally showed up this morning. Took exactly 2 business days after the TWC portal showed it as posted. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance!

PRO TIP: After you get ur first payment, IMMEDIATELY transfer that money to your regular bank account!!! The ReliaCard has crazy fees if you use it at certain ATMs or stores. Don't leave ur $$ sitting on that card!

Good idea! I'll transfer it to my regular bank account as soon as it hits. Definitely don't want to deal with extra fees.
