TWC debit card payment timing - shows processed but nothing received yet

I requested my unemployment payment yesterday and when I checked the TWC website today it says it's been processed (with today's date), but I still don't see anything on my TWC debit card. This is my first payment so I'm not sure how long it usually takes. Should I be worried or is there typically a delay between when it shows as processed and when it actually hits the card? Just trying to plan for bills coming up this weekend. Thanks!

Generally it takes 2-3 business days for the payment to show up on your ReliaCard after TWC shows it as processed. So if it processed today, you might not see it until Thursday or Friday. The first payment sometimes takes a little longer too. Don't panic yet!

Thank you! That's a relief. I was starting to worry something went wrong with my claim.

Thanks for the info! I'll keep checking throughout the day tomorrow then.

I HATE the stupid ReliaCard! My payments always take 3 full business days after being 'processed' and one time it took almost a WEEK!!! TWC says it's processed but then the bank holds it for no reason. It's ridiculous when people need their money NOW not next week!!

Same! The whole system is designed to make us suffer. My landlord doesn't care that TWC is slow, she wants rent on time!

The timing can vary depending on when the payment was processed. If it processed early in the day, you might see it tomorrow. If it processed later, it could be the day after. For first payments, USBank sometimes holds it an extra day for verification purposes.\n\nAlso, make sure you've activated your ReliaCard properly. Sometimes people think it's delayed but actually the card just needs to be activated through the USBank portal.

I did activate my card when it arrived last week. Is there a way to check the exact time it was processed by TWC? I just see the date on the website.

I was in the exact same boat last month! First payment took forever and I couldn't get TWC on the phone to ask about it. I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me connected to a TWC agent in about 10 minutes when I'd been trying for days. They have a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh\n\nThe agent explained that first payments take 2-3 business days after processing, and if you requested it after hours it basically adds another day. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give it another day or two before trying that, but good to know it's an option if I need to talk to someone.

EXACTLY! The whole system is rigged against us. Meanwhile we're supposed to magically pay bills on time!

That's frustrating but at least helps me know what to expect. I'll plan for my payments to take 2-3 days going forward.

One more thing - you can sign up for direct deposit to your regular bank account instead of using the ReliaCard. Many people find that's faster and more convenient. You can set it up in your TWC account under payment options.

That's really good to know! I'll definitely look into switching to direct deposit. The card was just what they automatically sent me.
