TWC reliance card hasn't arrived after switching from direct deposit - what's the timeline?

Just switched from direct deposit to the TWC Reliance debit card on June 20th and I'm getting nervous that I haven't received anything yet. It's been almost 2 weeks! My payment status shows 'processed' but I have no way to access the funds. Is there a normal wait time for these cards to arrive? The TWC website isn't clear about this at all. I'm starting to worry because rent is coming up soon, and I really need this payment. Has anyone else experienced delays with getting their first debit card? How long did yours take to arrive? Also, is there any way to track the card's status or expedite delivery?

The TWC Reliance cards typically take about 7-10 business days to arrive after your first payment is processed to the card. So if you just changed it on 6/20, and assuming a payment was processed shortly after, you should receive it this week. If you don't get it by the end of this week, I'd recommend calling the Reliance Card customer service directly at 866-295-2955. They can tell you when the card was mailed and can even expedite a replacement if needed (though there might be a fee for that). Just remember that postal delays happen, especially around holiday periods like the recent July 4th weekend. Hang in there!

Thank you so much for the info! My payment processed on 6/23 so that would make sense if it arrives this week. I didn't realize the holiday might delay things too. I'll give it until Friday and then try calling that number. Really appreciate the help!

Oh wow, thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to check everything before throwing mail away. Did yours just show up randomly or did you get any kind of notification it was coming?

I had this exact same problem last year! I kept checking my mailbox everyday expecting this official-looking package and it never came. Then I found out from my neighbor that the mailman had delivered some of my mail to them by mistake (our unit numbers are similar). The card had been sitting in their pile of mail for a week! Maybe check with neighbors or your local post office?

I hadn't even thought about mail delivery issues. I'm in an apartment complex so that's definitely possible. I'll check with the office to see if they have any mail for me. Thanks for the suggestion!

The TWC Reliance cards are now issued by Money Network, and their standard processing time is 7-10 business days after the payment is processed to the card account. However, I've seen numerous cases where it takes up to 14 business days for first-time cards to arrive. If you need immediate assistance checking on the status of your card or getting help reaching TWC to verify your payment status, I'd recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They helped me actually get through to TWC when I had a similar issue with my Reliance card not arriving. You can see how the service works in their video demo: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh In the meantime, you can also verify if your payment was actually deposited to the card account by creating an account at usbankreliacard.com once you have your card number. This will show if the funds are at least sitting in the account waiting for you to receive the physical card.

Thank you so much for the detailed information! I hadn't heard of Claimyr before but I'll check it out if my card doesn't arrive by the end of the week. It's so frustrating that there's no easy way to track these cards. I'll look into that website once I finally get the card so I can monitor it in the future.

The system is INTENTIONALLY difficult! They want people to get frustrated and give up on their benefits. I had to switch payment methods THREE TIMES last year because of their "system errors" and each time I had to wait weeks for payments. Meanwhile bills pile up and they don't care!

That's so strange! Did you both apply around the same time? I wonder if it depends on what part of Texas you're in or something...

Just to follow up - once you do receive your Reliance card, be sure to activate it immediately by calling the number on the sticker. Also, create an online account at usbankreliacard.com to monitor your balance and transactions. You can set up alerts for deposits and withdrawals, which is really helpful. Many people don't realize you can also use this card at most ATMs, though some charge fees. U.S. Bank ATMs are free, and you get one free withdrawal per deposit period at other ATMs (after that, there's a $2 fee). Has your card arrived yet? It's been a few days since your original post.

It actually came in yesterday's mail! You were right about it being in a plain envelope - I almost missed it. Thanks for the tips about setting up the online account. I just activated the card and will set up the alerts right away. Such a relief to finally have access to the funds!
